Finally my R is scheduled

I ordered a 2016 GT350R this summer and 2 weeks ago I received a vin for my vehicle. I called Ford Performance this week and they told me my car is scheduled to be built on the week of March 14th!! The wait is almost over!! :amen:

I just received a VIN and build date for the week of March 14th as well for my R.....tick, tock..

So a GT350 R is to be made on March 7. That is good news. I wonder if March 7 is the startup of production of the GT 350 R. If so , Ford should have 500 produced by end of April. The Northern region GT350 R will most likely be built in April.

Some folks said ford didn't schedule any gt350s last week so that might explain order getting pulled but not getting scheduled yet

The issue in Donson's case is that it is still in material hold status. Being 'pulled" means removing the hold so that the normal ordering scheduling process can begin.

Good luck to those of you that have VINs and build dates. If August orders are being scheduled hopefully I don't have wait too much longer.

I also ordered mine in August, here in Florida. Still no VIN. How many Rs did your dealer get? If they are a high-volume dealer, they are likely to get their orders pulled first.

I don't know exactly how many they got. However, they sell lots of mustangs.

Thanks Toodles and good to hear, I ordered my GT350R from a Houston, TX dealer back in early September. I have a DORA but I havent received a VIN yet. I am hoping soon as Spring time is coming soon....

What region are for the GT350Rs scheduled for March

I don't think that any particular region is being pulled for March and all regions will be assembled in the first week of March.

It is my understanding that the reason for halting production on the R models was the Pilot Sport Cup 2 tire and if that is the case with all of these R models being produced in Flat Rock a region will not be an issue.

I suggest that the March 7th cars are being produced based on priority as indicated on the VOC.

I'm in Houston. Ordered an R in June. Text, called, emailed dealer today. No response at all... I'm in the dumps. Saw a black with blue stripes today by chance in the wild. First one I've ever seen on the road doing daily duties. Got me all excited then I remind myself could be months more for us to get our R's. Ok whine over.:cheers:
