Anyone know where to get a factory invoice 2 years after the sale? I can't find mine, and I don't remember the salesman actually giving me one, so maybe I've been looking for something I never had.

You wouldn’t have received a copy of the factory invoice at time of purchase. Do you mean the window sticker?

Your selling dealership will have a copy of the factory invoice. Ford requested one when I was starting the RAV process on my 17 GT and the dealer had it and sent it to them directly.

No, I've got the window sticker. The invoice I'm talking about has the prices for options for the vehicle listed at sticker price in one column, and the invoice price in another. Then at the bottom it has the A plan price, D plan, X and Z prices, it also lists the shipping weight.

The dealer is not supposed to give them to the public, but years ago I found in the fine print that X plan participants are entitled to a copy if they ask for it, so I get one for every vehicle I have bought ever since.

This is not the mustang invoice, it's from my explorer, but they are basically the same.

Just an FYI, if you are an A or X plan participant, the dealer is required by ford to provide you with a copy of the invoice upon request. D and Z plan and the general public are not entitled to a copy.

Here is a snipit from the plan rules under the dealer requirements

  • The AXZD-Plan Pricing Agreement must identify the X-Plan price, the price of each dealer-added option, negative equity on vehicle trade, gifts, and any other allowable fees and taxes. A copy of the factory invoice showing the New Vehicle Purchase Program price in the box labeled or "X-Plan" and a completed, signed copy of the AXZD-Plan Pricing Agreement must be given to the customer.

The only way I know of to get one is from the dealer. They have it filed(buried) somewhere. It just depends on how nice of a dealership it is and how much they like you as to whether or not they feel like going to the trouble of finding it. They probably even have the electronic copy of it sent to them from Ford. Several years ago I used to order all the Ford trucks for my company and I kept every single invoice I ever got.

I depends on who you work for. "A" plan is for current ford employees, D is for dealership employees, Z is for retired ford employees, and X (which I get) is for current employees of a supplier. You can also get x plan if you buy a certain minimum number of shares in ford stock and keep them for a prescribed amount of time. I think it's around 100 shares and you have to keep them at least 90 days.

FYI, any current rebates or incentives also apply on top of and beyond the plan price. When I bought mine there was a 2500 rebate on mustangs so my actual price was 43,162, not the x plan price of 45,662

And if you look at the invoice from the explorer I have, the x plan was 50,954 but I paid 45,704 because there was a 5,250 rebate at the time for leftover 18 explorers

I believe x-plan is also available for Mustang Club members. My employer has pricing deals with Ford, GM, Chrysler, VW and a few others. I wish x-plan was as good as the VW deal, that one is a simple "invoice minus $500" and the salesman told me it's the same price he gets.

The discount is not as big for suppliers but we get more than just Ford and Lincoln, we also get GM, Fiat/Chrysler, BMW/mini, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai/KIA

I need to take another look at what we get and from which manufacturers. The wife's Mazda will probably be replaced in a year or so. The VW plan is for suppliers, but it sounds like they have one plan instead of x and d.
