Hello, I have a 2011 ford mustang gt with a p-1sc stage 2 Intercooled Procharger kit on it. The car runs good, dynoed good with a good graph however it has an extreme whine. I know I know it’s procharged but this is different. I have checked my battery it’s good, I am pushed to believe it’s an alternator bearing however the alternator is running perfect. Car sits at 14.5 volts when running. Tried a new air filter that didn’t fix it. I’m hoping it’s not the Procharger unit itself. Just weird to me if it was the unit, it wouldn’t make 625rwhp and run perfect. Any help would be appreciated! Also yes I have changed engine & procharger oil, no difference.

Get a automotive stethoscope ,or a long screw driver, and listen to the pro charger and alternator through them. Where it is loudest is the problem.

Tried that, put it up to the alternator and my buddy said he can hear it a little, revved it a little and he said it didn’t get any louder

Did you listen to the pro charger? Water pump? Idler?

From the vid it seems to be coming from the pro charger but I've been wrong before.

Drop sc belt and then serpentine if noise continues. Don't idle with our serpentine for very long

I haven’t paid attention, but do our cars have idler/tensioner pulleys? I assume so. Had one go bad on my 4.6 Mustang and it sounded exactly the same.

LOL what the hell was that. That whine sounds like something found at a junkyard.

The junkyard:

Does sound like the SC from the video but could be pulleys/idler. How is the supercharger oil level?

Yes they do.
I know this is probably a stupid question but for the idler pulley would this be the sc idler pulley or the motor idler pulley? Or does only one of them have one? Just trying to get informed.

There should be 2 if I am not mistaken.

This install instructions from american muscle should help.

There should be one left side of engine and one on the right side on the supercharger side.

Stock tensioner should be here.

Hope this helps. I would use a stethoscope or similar to really dial down which one is making noise before pulling apart.
