Then the touring will be exactly what you want since you also have catless LTH.i definitely want more sound than OEM, honestly looking for OEM pitch and sound quality just amplified.
Itl be loud as if you have a loud borla atak or corsa extreme with stock cats. I have the resonator off and have x pipe instead, still sounds stock ish and is very loud but im looking for a different tone so il go s type. However s type will more than likely be way too loud catless for youThen the touring will be exactly what you want since you also have catless LTH.
With factory headers, I'm sure the stype sounds really good and the touring sounds basically like stock but maybe a more refined sound. But with LTH it's a different story.
Yeah absolutely. Honestly conversations about exhaust systems between catted and catless are two completely different things.Itl be loud as if you have a loud borla atak or corsa extreme with stock cats. Ya 100% catless makes it a whole new ball game. So final voteYeah absolutely. Honestly conversations about exhaust systems between catted and catless are two completely different things.
What you want is the Ford Performance kit by Borla with center resonator.i definitely want more sound than OEM, honestly looking for OEM pitch and sound quality just amplified.
Would that fact the ford performance is 2.5 in diameter, compared to borla's 3 in diameter change the sound that much? I have a ESS kit on the way, don’t know if 3 will be better or not. What you want is the Ford Performance kit by Borla with center resonator.
Reviews say it's quieter than Borla S-type and very well made. Dunno if there's truly a performance difference between 2.5 and 3.Would that fact the ford performance is 2.5 in diameter, compared to borla's 3 in diameter change the sound that much? Ah ok I see. I can get the touring right from the borla website but there are 3 variants differing in price without telling a difference between them. I don’t know if my mobile browser is showing it correctly. WeirdReviews say it's quieter than Borla S-type and very well made. Dunno if there's truly a performance difference between 2.5 and 3.
Boost means 3” is better, on 93 you can get away with 2.5 but any more power and you need 3”, but it always adds a few hp to have the bigger sizeWould that fact the ford performance is 2.5 in diameter, compared to borla's 3 in diameter change the sound that much? The smaller pipe keeps the exhaust velocity higher than a larger pipe will, John Lingenfelter used 2 1/2 inch exhaust from Borla making well over 600 horse power, it is all about exhaust velocity, that helps to scavenge the cylinders of spent gases. Bigger is not better when it comes to exhaust you have to figure out the correct size pipe that will result in the highest velocity for maximum performance. Its not just back pressure people go smaller diameter. Currently i have a touring muffler from borla with a 2.5” catback cuz i wanted to quiet the car down. I had it way way way too loud with an armytrix catback, which somehow is louder than corsa extremes imo, and will be going back to 3” with a borla s type. Smaller diameter pipe works well with lower hp setups, make the pipe 4” on a honda with 200hp, you get a god awful sound from the exhaust. Same with a 2” exhaust on a 1000hp, sound also similarly gets better with a proper diameter pipe for the hp
Bigger is not better, exhaust is all about velocity to pull spent gases from the cylinder during the exhaust stroke a larger pipe slows down the velocity and will rob you of power. Borla knows this, that is why they have more wins in professional racing than all the other exhaust manufactures combined.Ah I see. I don’t see any on the Borla website with 3’’ I only see 2.5
