Not putting stock anything back on, stock sounded like choked midget, I'll wear earplugs before I do that

I've got some J pipes from Solo Performance if you're interested. They even have a slide to adjust the sound for drone. They were part of a Solo Performance catback for an automatic Challenger, I never even used them becuase my car was manual, but bought the exhaust used in the first place. You would obviously need to cut them off the pipes they are on now and then weld them to your exhaust, but if you're interested and are ever in the South Carolina area, I will let them go for very cheap! I think I offered them to another user for a nice bottle of bourbon haha

There are lots of exhausts that do not drone. I wouldn't put bandaids on the magnaflows. Just get a different exhaust.

I've got $1000 in the exhaust I'm not dropping down more money to get another one, I'll just run the j-pipes

I'm extra sensitive to drone and all aftermarket systems give me a headache...even the fairly quiet FRPP Touring Catback.

Robb I agree, exhaust sound I love but drone gets me right in the ears, like It reverbs off my ear drums, now just trying to figure out how to place the j-pipes Under the car

Honestly, good luck with the J pipes. They are not some magical cure. If they were, don't you think Magnaflow would build them into their exhaust to kill all drone?

You can sell your exhaust for just a few hundred dollars less than what you bought it for. Don't let sunk cost affect your decision making.

They don't do it because of the extra cost involved and the requirement for the pipe to be a different length based on model and engine. Look up Corsa and their mufflers. They use a chamber design that is more robust but acts under the same principle as the j-pipes.

Jeffy_2010, PM me if you have any questions regarding the calculations for the pipes! I will be happy to help.

I agree with zack, and honestly prolly another reason magnaflow doesn't is they prolly don't worry about drone and the j-pipes are the most pleasing to the eye, they do look a little funny. Talked to my local performance shop and he said they will do it, gonna see it we can make some adjustable j-pipes

I had a Magnafow on another car and the drone was terrible as well. I fixed it by putting on a Borla. I have never been disappointed in Borla.

Dynomat doesn't do anything for drone. The 133 - 138 hz frequency that drone is from disrupts the molecular structure of just about everything. The only way to truly combat drone is to block it (good luck finding an interior type material that does so) or cancel it out. That's how Corsa combats drone. Borla does it by directing all frequencies out the tailpipe and not acting as a resonator.

Does anyone know which catback or axleback systems come with Helmholtz resonators already designed into them to eliminate drone? This is such a common problem I'd think there would be many of them, but I can't find any. Do people just not mind 100db+ of in-cabin sound while simply cruising around??
