If it's a manual car the drone is telling you to downshift (assuming) you're driving around @ 55 in 6th, you're in the wrong gear/RPM range. You needn't be pulling ~4K to avoid drone but jsut as well not in the ~2K range either. Something to consider before you try and start dropping more coin on other exhaust components. If you're driving an Auto slushbox try sport mode to keep it out of that RPM range. The drone I've had with an auto trans would give me a headache, I know it's bothersome but sometimes the way you drive can make a diff.

Or you can get an exhaust that doesn't drone at any RPM. I can lug all the way down to 1250 and nothing, nadda, zilch. Stop spewing this bullsh!t on these threads about being in the wrong gear dude.

I wouldn't do the Varex, I don't like the way that system works with the flap that opens and closes at the muffler. I much prefer the system AWE uses that opens and closes the h-pipe. If you are near Broward county in SoFla I could let you listen to mine.

Agree. My AWE does not drone at all, regardless of gear/rpm.
