I don’t have the crank strap to hold it in place this time around, should putting it in gear with the parking brake up be enough you think?
Is it auto or manual? If manual - put it in 6th gear, and then set the parking brake. If automatic - sell it and buy the right car.

Always manual. 🫡

I’m excited for this build, gen 3 premium performance package, manual.

Rebuilt my 04 trans by hand when I built that car.

Way to go Ethan , top effort mate. Sometimes these things seem like a fuck around at the time. but in the end you have learnt a huge amount in the last number of days and it will forever give you confidence with your mustang to tackle anything it decides to throw at you….. and it 100% will. Nature of the beast.

More people should attack things the way you did. The more you learn the easier working on your car gets and the fear of doing something complicated becomes an easy decision. Process of elimination , find the issue , fix the issue.

Well played , and well played to everyone on here who helped guide the process. We have a good crew on here.

I truly want to start of by saying thank you. Life has been kicking me in the ass the past month. It hasn’t been easy to say the least. The 1 thing I’ve always had to count on over the years is and always will be my car. And with how things were turning out, I was losing hope. A quick day or 2 job turned into a 2-3 week ordeal. I’ve worked 2 jobs to afford this and even bought another car a year prior all in preparation for this build.

When I first came onto this forum and made this post, I didn’t know how much help I was going to get. I was reaching out to anyone that could help as a last resort. I’ve never had a forum to rely on or interact with. Boy has that changed!

From the start of it you all took the time out of your days - from morning to middle of the night- just to help someone in need. From a belt slapping to the high heavens, to cams facing the depths of hell, we all were in the front seat of a roller coaster. For weeks, this post has blown up to the most viewed by almost 3 fold. Nearly 9k views?! The GTD beat the damn Nurdingburg time, and you all said nah! let’s help this guy out… I mean come on…

I will post more photos and videos tomorrow/up to this weekend. Still have some things to work on and tweak out. So I will keep you all posted! Again, thank you. I would still be sitting on the ground twiddling my thumbs thinking what went wrong without you all. And this goes to show you. Always learn how to do your own work no matter the struggle both mentally and physically. Also that no matter how careful or sure you were, on how a job was done correctly, does not mean things always go the way you thought they did. But if you take your time and work through the struggles you can get through anything. Especially with a powerhouse of a team like this forum.

Thank you all. More to follow ;]
