I recommend buying one.. easy way to see if you're car isn't performing as it should.. one that has peak boost recall I think is great, then you can press the button and see your max psi you just made without having to watch the gauge when ripping on it.
Is there a post/thread on what parts are needed for a boost gage and how to install and program? For some reason I'm not finding one but feels like there has to be one somewhere.

I haven’t looked but there’s gotta be. I’d recommend getting a vacuum block otherwise you’ll be T’ing off your vacuum lines which is just ugly and sloppy to me. Then you can run your gauge to the vacuum block along with your bov, and if you ever turn it up and get a fuel system you can also run it to the vacuum block.

The gauge is pretty easy to setup. If you get the vacuum block the gauge should come with everything else you need.

not really, no…it’s a pretty straightforward op. Get one with the sending unit so you are running wires, not vacuum lines into the cabin 😬

Get a G3R. That Tial will sound like a black hole collapsing on itself

man. I've gone back and forth on this figuring out what to do before I install mine...
I have a pp1 so I have the gauges in the center. I want oil pressure but don't want the stupid ecoboost gauge pod as I've read it's not a true reading but an ecu representation. I love both of the options above. the aem from wingnutt look badass but I've had the pillar boost stuff like sheepdog in my old evo's. adding the boost gauge now leaves me a redundant vacuum in the center panel but to do what wingnutt did means I have to now buy and wire an oil pressure gauge....

decisions.. decisions.....

Off topic and random but every time I see someone comment the word FORSCAN I always read it as FORESKIN. Surely they could have picked a better name.

you are not alone in that thought. first time I saw it after joining here when I bought the mustang I had the exact same thought...

I suspect it was named by some software engineer sitting in a Kum & Go parking lot with the Cummins idling thinking that the Spanx purchased from BJ's are too tight after eating at In & Out..

Boost only? You didn't want vacuum?
Well, my car has the factory vacuum gauge in the center next to oil pressure. Also, I don't really find that information useful. If I have a vacuum leak, it will show up on the air fuel ratio at idle, and on my logs (which I do frequently).

I wonder if there’s a Forscan option to turn on a boost reading to select in the digital dash Show Gauges list… vacuum is available both digitally and in the center stack.
