Mustang GT 2018 (facelift), with ESS g2x kit, and g3x intercooler at present.
but I am wondering what options are available for improved cooling as the IAT is running at 30 plus degrees on hot/warm days. I have looked online, but can’t seem to find any information, on whether there is a kit and knowledge on water rather than air based cooling on the intercooler/heat exchanger to help lower temps?
I think more expensive SC kits tend to go water based from day one, but looking for information, to see if it can be added to the ESS setup.

any help or advice appreciated.

What are your iat's on a quarter mile pass?

Started in the low 40’s (it was 30 degrees C outside), before dropping to low 30’s towards the end, but always seems higher than the outside temp.

You don't have an iat issue.
I have been warned that around the mid 40’s the ECU will pull timing, so wanted to keep it a bit cooler. Hence the original query.

Water/meth injection would be the cheapest and most effective option. You could install a small nozzle into the pipe feeding into the intercooler, and it will reduce IAT's below ambient.

You will never cool the intake charge lower than ambient temperature with an Air to Air intercooler. You could do a Water to Air intercooler and ice box, but 40C (104 F) is nothing to worry about.

Who's tune pulls timing that low? These numbers are tiny. Start thinking about this again when you are running enough boost for 70c or 160f. You don't have an issue. At all.

The stock tube pulls timing at 100, what tuner is allowing full timing at 160?

45'C is only 114'F, No tune should be pulling timing that low,

A2W can be done with a centri, But Those are better IAT's than you will see with A2W, Plus You'd need major fab work to use A2W,

It'd be simpler to get a Big custom FMIC with a Garrett or Bell core ...

Shearer Fabrication makes FMIC for High HP Turbo cars at reasonable prices, But shipping to UK might be a tad pricy theze daze.

If someone has an a2w setup that runs higher iat than a2a, they are doing it wrong.
