The 2015 Mustang already comes with a Standard Equipment Anti-Theft Device with a coded immobilizer chip embedded into the Remote Control Key FOB. That alone qualifies for most Auto Insurance discounts as a "passive" Anti-Theft device. If you feel the need for double security, spend the extra $400, if not, most will be fine with the Standard Equipment. Its not like this vehicle comes with (nothing) other then a Steel Ignition Switch Key cut from a neighborhood Hardware Store!

I am not even entirely sure adding the security pack makes it eligible for an "All-risk" insurance here. The base security is considered 'level 1' here. The pack will certainly elevate it to 'level 2' for sure, but does it have 'tilt detection' and its own power supply? That would make it a 'level 3' system required for these kind of cars here to get full coverage.

Edit: After some research I found that not all insurance companies actually demand a level 3 security system, but they generally make you pay more. (I had been looking at the cheapest ones obviously)

Haha, this made me laugh hard until I googled it and found out it's real.

So, it seems that all these POS cars I see around here with wheels that are worth more than the car probably didn't even really buy them outright, they used a crazy company that preys on the financially weak minded.

This explains a lot that I have pondered in the past. :p

On the topic, I got the security package due to what others said, it's a cheap option for what you get. At least in my opinion.
I thought the same thing till I heard rent a wheel ads on the radio here in Jacksonville.

Idiots that sport "Gangsta" Style Hood Rat Wheels that are worth more then the Vehicle they are bolted unto probably have a Gold Grill too! Like the saying goes, "A Fool and His Money Are Soon Parted"! Why do you think they offer "Gap" Insurance? Most fools are (upside down) for life of their Car Loan. Its not coverage for the (gap) between their front teeth! There is no Option to add on for sheer Stupidity!

My window sticker says
Securilock pass anti theft and
Perimeter alarm but I opted out of the security package....
securilock is the electronic coded keys and perimeter alarm is just the doors and trunk, they come standard on just about every ford with keyless entry... the upgrade in the enhanced package adds an accelerometer to determine if the car has been tipped or towed and some infrared motion detector to tell if the windows have been smashed...

For how cheap it is just having the electronic locking console is worth it for me.

It's not an expensive option but I personally don't see the value.

Regarding the convertible, will the Enhanced Security Package "lock" or disable the interior trunk release button? Thanks in advance for an answer!
