Look where I live....but like I said I guess you have a more direct interaction with criminals so I must not know what I'm talking about...if you're speaking directly about DC then yeah that's a special bunch they will sit there and strip the car. Just admit the electronic locks are a deterrent and not useless like you said...you can't always be right.

No the rims were not a repossession. They were the factory OEM chrome clad rims that a group was going around targeting. I found them on craigslist trying to sell the rims for 600 for the set. A sting was set up and 20 sets of stolen rims were found and 6 motorcycles. The cars were left sitting on the frames onto planters bricks. Ford Fusions with 20" are also high targets.
LOL :paddle:

I look at the features completely different, electronic stuff is usually the stuff that goes bad first. I've owned enough Lincolns to know that. I can buy a set of wheel locks for $20-45, all the Mustangs come with an alarm, the only thing I have yet to determine is if the center console is key lockable, I have not found any information about that. Have any of you that sat in one seen if the center console is key lockable? I assume the glovebox is lockable still?

I'll keep my race gear in the trunk, out of sight, plus if someone tries to smash and grab they'll likely knock themselves unconscious when they smash their head on my roll cage :headbonk:

Locks keep honest people honest, I see the point of you guys that CC, I live in one of those states, it would suck to need it and forget you locked it when you go to reach for it.

Tim, I didn't see any place to lock the Center Console with a Key, but what I did notice was that there is a Release Button on Both Sides of the Console Lid. I'm assuming that was done to make the part Universal for Left and Right Hand Drive Markets, but your question made me think of something. THERE IS NO KEY Of course there is the Emergency Key Blade in the Fob, but who is going to take that out to lock the Console, or the Glovebox for that matter, every time they want to Lock them? Since the Mustang has gone "Keyless" for 2015 it completely makes sense why they have come up with an Electronic Locking Console. I can't remember if the Glovebox Lock is included with that or not. I also don't remember seeing a Key Hole to lock the Glovebox when I saw the car either.

Thank you, I've looked through the manual and have seen the emergency key, in case your battery dies, but didn't see an mention of locking the console with a key, I guess I'm SOL.

After thinking about the Lock thing it made me wonder so I went back to look. I found that all of the pictures show a Key Hole in the Glove Compartment Latch Except 2. One which is a Prototype with the Brushed Aluminum Dash Trim with the Center Gages, and the other was a car that has the Engine Turned Dash Trim. I think it's Odd Now, that a "Keyless" Car has a Key Hole to Lock the Glove Compartment. ..

The $400 that the package costs is worth it for the active security system alone. Every insurance company I know gives a discount for an active security package... it will pay for it self.

Until somebody taps the bumper parallel parking and the alarm goes off for the next six hours because you're not around to hear it and somebody throws a brick through your windshield because the noise is driving them nuts.

The world doesn't revolve around NYC and street parking.

A bit exaggerated Jimmy. Every Alarm is set to shut off after a short 30 Second to 1 Minute Period in the event of such an occurance, or if someone pulls the door handle. The car Alarms that I can't stand are those Cheap Aftermarket Alarms that go through a Cycle of Multiple Video Game Sounding Noises. I call them Nintendo Game Boy Alarm Systems. Now those I can see someine throwing a Brick through the window of.

Does actually. But that's off-topic, so please, let's try to stay on-topic here without getting into geographical arguments?
