Ouch! I definitely got luckyLUcky guy. I melted a Denso plug in my Ducati and the core dropped straight through the piston. Made a hell of a mess.
Plugs do this if you overheat them. In. My case I had a weeping oil seal that had allowed some oil to collect down the plug hole. The hot oil then cooked the plug until the ceramic seperated from the metal.
I replaced them with Brisk plugs again. I had a spare set at home.Same.
Thanks, I think I'm sticking with Brisks now.JPC did a great video on how these are designed this way to save motors where other plugs would have continue to detonate and take your motor with it. This is why I run Brisks now.
OP. glad to hear your motor survived.
Thats true, Not sure what the case is. For now I dont see a reason to switch though.Doesn't look like he melted the electrode to me, which is what brisk is designed to do...unless all they really do is just burn up and not actually melt away. Just looks like his porcelain came loose.
Thanks man. I definitely jumped to the worst conclusion here.So glad to hear that mate! Just been through a spark plug issue myself and feared the worst.
