How about using the the new 5.2 block without sleeves ?

It’s not a bad idea but I already have the built short block sitting here ready to go. If I was going to build it from scratch I would’ve definitely sleeved the engine. I traded some stuff I had lying around for this engine, didn’t plan on installing or building one before running into this deal. Now I’m having second thoughts about using it. Doesn’t make sense to use it for only 100 more whp. 2-300 yes but not 100. I would be better off to sell this shortblock and build another with sleeves from the ground up. Something to seriously think about.
