HI there. My car randomly stalled again. 12,450kms on the odo. Second time now.

I was driving in the highway with the a/c on. Pulled off the exit ramp. Turned off the a/c. Came to a complete stop at the light and clutched as normal. Went to drive off and clutch in an no power. Car was on and engine off as indicated earlier.

1st day @ 70 F and it does this.

I guess "FORD" with our mustangs means "Fear Of Randomly Dying" ® - don't steal my catch phrase, I just made it up.

Bumping this to add some info and see if anybody has reached resolution.

Was leaving for work this morning and had gotten maybe a mile from my house. Car was not completely warmed up and as such I was driving very conservatively (some people say this issue occurs only after spirited driving). I pulled away from a stop sign and when I entered 2nd the acceleration began to feel very sporadic. Throttle input seemed to be changing rapidly despite no changes in pressure on pedal. When I clutched in to shift to 3rd, the car died and I received the "Run Power Active" message on the cluster.

Car is a '15 with 12k miles. I do have intake/tune/exhaust, but this seems to happen to these cars regardless of modification. I'm leaning throttle body issue, but hopefully somebody else can confirm. Have appt. with Ford next week.

No answers, but randomly did it again with me a couple weeks back leaving work. About the same place every time. Pulling up to a red light, clutch in, engine still not up to operating temps. #3 for me, I think.

This happened to me for the first time this morning. I was coming to a red light and depressed the clutch. The car immediately dropped to zero rpm's and the "run power active: message appeared. I fired it back up and made my hour drive to work as normal. Any resolution to this for anyone yet?

I made an appt. with Ford and will update what they say. Didn't happen again today, but the car is occasionally dropping a few hundred revs at idle. Enough to vibrate the car and make you think it'll cut off, but it never did. Possibly related? We'll see I guess...

I brought my car in for this issue, mainly and some other things like the mirror going weird and an oil change.

My ECU was updated with the most recent version.

My suggestion is to contact Ford on this board. Read back a few pages and send them a PM. They will contact you back. They'll liaise with your dealer and check your car out.

Dropped my car off with the dealer this morning. They couldn't reproduce the issue, which wasn't surprising to me since it's only ever happened to me on a stone-cold start, but they did perform a "neutral profile relearn". They mentioned that they couldn't see any codes, which I guess is both good and bad.

I'll report back in once I've had a chance to drive the car fresh in the morning, and see if I get the same issue again.

I haven't had any issues since the neutral profile relearn. Not sure if that's coincidental (I'd gone a month with no issues BEFORE the neutral profile relearn...) or if it actually did have something to do with the issue. Additionally, I haven't noticed the idle hunting or wavering at all the last week or so.

Bottom line, good news so far, but this seems like a suspiciously simple fix.

Welp, scratch that good news. Car died today with the "Run Power Active" message as I was pulling into my office. Happened as I was turning left across traffic too, which could be very dangerous if I hadn't already had enough speed. Will be contacting the dealer again today to set up another appointment.

The interesting thing is that this is the only time it's ever happened with the car being warm. Typically this has happened first thing in the morning as I'm starting my commute. I'd been driving for about 15 minutes on the highway today, so the car was up to normal operating temp.

This happened to me on Friday driving home from work on the highway. Downshifted from 3rd to second, when i press the accelerator, there was no RPMs. Engine turned off mid-shift. I was like WTH car still rolling. Put it in Nuetral and started the engine right back up.... first time this happened.....

This happened to me a few times when my car was new. I'm at 15,000 miles now. I thought maybe it had worked itself out, but then it happened again just the other day. Died while coasting to a stop. Someone is going to get seriously hurt. C'mon Ford, solve this issue already!

I'll throw my name into the hat on this one

Accelerating up to the speed limit and I thought I missed a gear and the car sputtered and stalled. The "See Manual" wrench was there along with the "Full Accessory Power Active" light on the center screen with the light blinking above the ignition button.

Restarted the car with some struggle, all that was seemingly wrong was low RPM upon startup. Started driving down the highway and had severe RPM drop when going into neutral and shifting the gears. Got out on a dead highway by the house and gave it a run, rode up to 3rd gear at 3-4k RPM and had the exhaust pitch change every two seconds from high to low, high to low as I held it there on the throttle. Got it back home, ate supper, went outside and started again.

No wrench, no nothing. Drove down the highway and had zero issues.
