I think I had my X-pipe off for this install. No creeper either. Like I said, this is probably the hardest part of the install for me since you'll be doing everything blindly and just by feel. Took a lot of patience, muscles to pull down on the tranny while one hand was wiggling the bolt back...
I have an aftermarket exhaust so the support was easily accessible.
Did you get this on yet? You might want to get a friend to help you if not. Either have them pull down or I read that someone had their wife stick their foot down the shifter hole and to push down on the trans.
This step is the hardest part of the install for me as well. What I did was unbolted the driveshaft support so I can pull the driveshaft lower. I know it's hard to pull on the tranny/driveshaft while you're on jackstands while also trying to put that bolt in but somehow I managed to do it.
Do it. Very noticeable night and day difference. This was my second mod. I installed it at the same time with BMR springs. The first was an oil separator.
If I was to guess, 2 hours with a lift.
My MGW took long because it was done on jack stands and hardly any room underneath. It would also help to have an extra set of hands to hang on the drive shaft for clearance. That was my biggest issue during install.
