OK, after a week and some change on the TSB Fix, I haven't had this issue again. Not saying it won't come up again, but news is good so far. Will continue to update everybody.
Having researched this a pretty good bit myself beforehand, you ought to be just fine running the stock tune with longtubes. The reason you can't (or definitely shouldn't) run the stock tune with the JLT is the larger-than-standard MAF, but you've already taken care of that.
OK, I've been rolling on the SCT 93 Octane tune since Friday afternoon. No sudden engine death yet, but it was never an everyday thing in the first place.
Problem now is that I'm throwing PO420 and PO430 (Catalyst System Effeciency Below Threshold). I never had this code before. I'd put about...
Picked up an SCT X4 and I'm just using their canned tune for now. Dyno tune scheduled.
I'll report back and let everybody know whether this TSB is a fix. For now, even if it's totally psychological, the car seems to idle steadier. Maybe that's the TSB, maybe that's the tune, maybe that's some...
Yeah, they did warn me it could happen.
I think it was worth the reflash though as I'd rather have to buy a new tune than have my car dying while in traffic.
Plan is to buy an SCT tuner from a local shop and have somebody email me a tune that will work well with my mods until I can get a...
I haven't picked the car up yet, that's just what the adviser mentioned to me. I thought that sounded a bit crazy (the intake is a JLT, which DOES require a tune). I wouldn't be surprised to hear it's running WORSE after the update, but I was also expecting to be able to drive it home or to a...
My dealer just performed TSB 15-0128. They said, though, that when they installed that update and overwrote my tune, that the engine is now idling at 3k RPM. Does this sound like it could possibly be right? I was kinda expecting it to run less than stellar (I have intake, headers, hi-flow cats...
Yeah, I have gone weeks without it happening, but it seems pretty frequent now. The very first time it happened to me I had a couple days of spotty rev hunting at idle, but I can't say I've experienced that for a couple months.
Thanks for the update!
Driversound, are you modified at all or did you just have the aftermarket tune? I've had the car in twice for this and I just had it die on me this morning, so I'm curious to know your situation and hear how the TSB works out.
For anybody still annoyed by this, I followed this dude's guide and it helped a lot:

I did more or less the exact same stuff. Used a foamy double-sided tape all over those two aluminum pieces. I wrapped the clips, any...
Welp, scratch that good news. Car died today with the "Run Power Active" message as I was pulling into my office. Happened as I was turning left across traffic too, which could be very dangerous if I hadn't already had enough speed. Will be contacting the dealer again today to set up another...
I haven't had any issues since the neutral profile relearn. Not sure if that's coincidental (I'd gone a month with no issues BEFORE the neutral profile relearn...) or if it actually did have something to do with the issue. Additionally, I haven't noticed the idle hunting or wavering at all the...
The vent to the left of my cluster rattles pretty badly. That seems to be the only one I have with 12k miles, headers, and a loud catback. I imagine the best solution will be felt tape or small bits of adhesive-backed foam near where plastic pieces clip together behind the surface of the dash...
