App shows the car was driven 9 miles today so I guess that's a good sign.
Congrats and good luck! Good luck too with any other actions you’ve got going.

Thanks for keeping us posted and for the pic.

Received a notice from the BBB Auto Line stating "we have opened your case and made a preliminary determination that your case is eligible. Please log on to the website to review the C36 letter." I'll update as applicable.

I saw a few cars that were bought back by ford and were listed on cars.com in upstate NY for $8-10K below MSRP. Which IMO is too high anyhow.

Do you have links by chance? I was trying to find some yesterday but it was a wild goose chase.

OP- While it seems you are pushing for a buyback a fall back position should be an extended warranty. I rec’d an 8 year bumper to bumper 125K mile extended warranty and a 60K mile service plan (8 visits IIRC).

Good luck!

After 45 days, the engine replacement and associated work has been completed and the car is home. It's toasty outside so I haven't inspected it real well but this is the only thing that jumps out at the moment (other than the hard water they have out there).

It didn't push all the way through or crack. I can adjust it and get it on the alignment pin myself and it shouldn't bug me too much; probably the smarter thing to do vs going through the battle of getting a new one, hoping the paint matches, re-striping, and getting it ceramic coated again. I'll check things out more thoroughly tomorrow; now it's time for an ice cold delicious beverage.

Got the engine bay cleaned up; not sure what the spots were but damn were they tough to get out. Then washed up the car and put 100 miles on it without issue. I kept it 4k and under so it wasn't much fun. Hopefully it's trouble free because I'm about to go out of town with it (roughly 1000 miles round trip).

Congrats on getting the car back. If that issue with the bumper is the only thing they messed up then you are winning !!!!

Have fun on the trip and remember to change that oil after the first 1000 miles .

Ford responded to the BBB with an offer dependent on me keeping the vehicle. I submitted a counter offer; we'll see how it goes.

What was their offer/your counter?

Settled the claim against Ford today. Ended up with an 8y/100k warranty, 3y/45k maintenance plan, payment reimbursement for the period it was in the shop (45 days), and a cash settlement. Time to install the rest of the parts I've been collecting while it has been in the shop. Gotta give Ford some credit, they did step up. Huge thanks to the BBB Auto Line, they were a huge help and made things painless. Pretty amazing free service.
