Engine Cover suggestions

Hey all,
I'm getting the performance pack installed on my 2020 GT. The current engine cover doesn't fit once the cold air intake is installed as we all know. I'd rather have a nice cover than having the dealer trim/cut the original to fit around the cold air intake. Any suggestions/recommendations on a nice cover that looks good and fits once a cold air intake is sitting there? Don't want painted same as the car or anything like that. Thanks in advance!

I took mine off because it traps heat. That engine gets hot enough on its own, I prefer to let her breathe a little more. Take full advantage of your hood vents.

I took mine off because it traps heat. That engine gets hot enough on its own, I prefer to let her breathe a little more. Take full advantage of your hood vents.

I was thinking of that as well. I may do exactly that. Thanks!

Mine, on a shelf somewhere, it's so frigging fugly I would not even hang it on the wall .

I cut mine cerakoted some of it. Of course shortly after I did a whipple. Much better engine cover honestly. Lol

The question then become why cover it ?

When I look at water vulnerable parts/connections under the cover, I tend to think that a functional reason prompted the cover usage.

While we may not have a center heat extractor permitting rain to directly drip onto the engine, I've seen some dirty engines over time and I see that moisture and dirt do get into that area, most likely errant road spray in inclement weather.

I believe there is a perceived aesthetic reason as well. When you look at an engine without the cover, the "average" person may be less than impressed with the complexity. Maybe Ford thought the complexity would scare off some potential buyers? Maybe they thought people would be thinking $$$$ service repairs down the road. Of course part of the mustang owner base loves the complexities being visible. Example: Bullitt purchasers.

Realizing those two perspectives, and not really liking the cover, I just decided to embrace the cover and make it more to my liking.

It fits. I had that kit on my 2019, and all you have to do is cut out one small notch for a hose to sit in.
