You're absolutely right. I don't like the Edlebrock kits. That is based on a ton of experience in the real world and a lot of design knowledge where intercooler systems are concerned. The problem with Meth on a PD blower is you spray before the blower compresses the air and forces it into the cylinders. Yes it does help but you are not getting the full benefit of cooling the hot air after it has been compressed. Going E85 is a better option in my opinion.
You're right. The worst temps will be after an extended road course session. I should have clarified. Stop and go in triple digit heat, in my experience, can reach harmful IATs very quickly (more quickly than on a road course) if extra cooling isn't added with many f/i applications. Seems like most manufacturers have it under control as far as the S550 is concerned, but many of the kits for the S197 ran into temp issues, as You're probably aware.Road course work is where you will see the worst IATs

Unclear what the warranty options/cost are from Whipple, but need to find out.
The Whipple warranty is $450 if you buy it at the time you order the kit. If you purchase it after that, it is $499. It is 3yr/36,000 miles. This is an "engine" warranty. Not a "powertrain" warranty. I purchased this with my Whipple.
The easiest way is by making an introduction thread covering who you are, how long you've been in the business, projects you've done, links to builds, word of mouth.....I can't believe I'm actually having to explain this, it's Business 101Credibility? How does someone show credibility? What is that based on? I'm genuinely curious.
For someone who's never been hit by a bus or even knows what that could do to a person, then you explain how and why that's bad. (that's an analogy, I know I don't want to be hit by a bus) But, since Edelbrock is not a highly discussed tuner/builder on this board it does nothing to just jump in and say "Edelbrock sucks" without having to explain why and show reasoning backed up with some kind a data instead of assuming everyone should take your word. How do you show that it has heat soak issues? How do you show that it affects certain aspects of driving/racing? These are all issues that should be addressed if you're going to say "don't buy this part" instead of assuming we should automatically take your word for it. I've never used a supercharger before, but I'm also not some sheep that just follows the heard because someone said "x part sucks". I like to do good research and take the time to understand the differences. I can certainly understand that. And I do not disagree with your mentality. I was just throwing my opinion in as well, when it comes to "credibility". The "anger" comment was really just a joke for the most part. However, it is a public forum. And everyone is entitled to their opinion, including DOB. But again.. I could talk intelligently about 4G63 motors all day long and give you the impression that I know a thing or two...but that doesn't automatically make me a credible source for people to go to. I've had my car for 4 months now and I'm still trying to decide which FI I want to go with. Could I buy a Whipple and be perfectly happy? I'm sure I could...but same could be said with a TVS or Procharger or any other manufacturer.

Stop trying to decide and just go with the whipple. My car drives extremely smooth, better than it did when stock. Cruising around you wouldn't know that I have a SC until I get on it. IATs after the blower average 80 to 90 degrees while driving around and the highest that I have seen setting in traffic is 113.
