Is the stage 2 with bigger throttle body and inlet etc available for a 2016?

I was on the Edelbrock chat for a long time but left the chat with mixed answers. There’s was lots of “ask this persons”.

Thanks!

Much appreciated!

Several of us have been waiting patiently for the 15-17 cars to be covered. Edelbrock's 2019 catalog (only the full one, not the blower catalog) linked below has the following part numbers for 15-17 cars on page 156:

Stage 1 2650 with tune #15838, no tune 158380

Stage 2 2650 (complete) with tune #15839, no tune 158390
Stage 2 2650 (upgrade) with tune #15884

Stage 3 2650 Pro-Tuner #15899

https://edelbrock-files-v1.s3.amazonaws.com/catalogs/2019-Edelbrock-Catalog.pdf

Note the 2300 blower is no longer available for the S550.

Also, the part number for the 103mm throttle body (which is anodized black ) analog version for 15-17 is #38988. This'll be an add-on regardless of which kit you get.

The kits used to be listed as with tuner or without tuner, not "tune". I clarified with Edelbrock previously that if you get the without tuner kit (since I already have an SCT device) that you can still get their tune to load by email included in the cost. Perhaps Edelbrock Tech can clarify if that's still the case, since I definitely do want Edelbrock's tune, but don't need another tuner.

I am ready for the stage 2 to come out for the 18-19s already. At least a complete list of what is included to hold us over.

The 132 comes with the whipple stage 2! Just sayin’...

I could certainly be mistaken about that, it would make more sense to include it, so maybe it is. It’s definitely not included in the Stage 1 or Pro Tuner kits.

This is incorrect. The throttle bodies are sold separate for use with the Pro Tuner kit PN 15899. Stage 2 compete kits 15839, 158390, 15388 and 153880 will come with the 103mm throttle body.

This thread is about Stage 1 guys. I will tell you EVERYTHING you want to know in a separate thread inducing retail pricing and specs. To hold you over...Stage 2 for for 2018+ Mustangs (15388 & 153880) will include port fuel injectors, BAP, 8-Rib belt drive, 103mm throttle body and a high flow air intake system with 113mm MAF. This kit will be 50-State legal AND eligible for our 3-year 36,000mi powertrain warranty when using our provided calibration, all at a competitive price point. Stay tuned.

If you have your own SCT device we will provide an email calibration free of charge. :like:

It's no secret since our catalog has to be printed by a certain time of the year...This page shows our Mustang Supercharger line-up for 2019. Part numbers in RED is NEW and features the new inlet compatible with the 103mm throttle bodies. 15832 and 158320 are available and shipping. The 103mm throttle bodies, Stage 2 and the Pro Tuner kit are not far away.

How long away for a stage 2 for a 2016? Days weeks or months??

What’s the difference between the complete kit and the upgrade?

What all comes in the new stage 2 kit for a 2016? Is this available through all Edelbrock dealers or only select ones?

Is the 2650 very loud, whine wise? Is the 8 rib standard on the stage 2? The black TB is nice!!

Does the heatbexhanger fit with adaptive cruise? Any software issues running your tune with adaptative cruise?

By the way, I was on the Edelbrock chat and they had very limited information about anything to do with the Superchargers and questions.

It is very quiet. Very slight noise at idle, exhaust covers it any other time. Most people will never know you have it.

Yep, Mine whines louder during part throttle when my exhaust doesn't drown it out. Was thinking of doing the sound tube thing, but dont feel like spending the money on non-performance parts right now

How do you guys feel about this kit? I'm using my car as a daily and thinking about this or a Vortech, a Whipple is nice but I can't justify spending 9k right now for one. Any and all feedback would be much appreciated! :)

I’m tossing ideas around still. I need something that will live in cold weather (rules out Paxton and Vortech). Don’t want to cut the front brace (rules out VMP and Roush). I’ve ruled out turbos I think. So that leaves Procharger, Whipple and Edelbrock. Has to work and fit with adaptive cruise as well.

Mean though, 3 great choices!!

I’m in for more info on the stage 2 Edelbrock! I’ve never seen one in the wild...
