I understand what you are saying and generally agree, however were my engine to spin a bearing, have the HPFP go out, or any number of things that had nothing to do with my Mods would you eat the repair cost because you were lightly modded? Hell my oil pump could fail and take the motor out, I have not increased the RPM limit at all which is what normally breaks them. The transmission is the same one in the GT, just different ratios and I'm putting less power through it. I don't track the car, I don't drag race, I do make some high sped runs on the autobahn. The second gear synchro is a known problem with this trans and I baby it. I never pull in less than third gear. If it goes out It will definitely not be my fault. No offense man but I don't get why people try to cheat the system its just kinda dishonest and crappy. If you changed your tune, downpipe, IC etc you shouldn't be playing it off under warranty like its Ford's fault. They designed the car the way they did and put the warranty on it that way you don't need to cheat them out of money. I know they are a big faceless company but at the end of the day it is taking money out of the pockets of the people that work there.
The one thing I do expect to not last, is the stock turbo as I am pushing it too far beyond it's stock parameters, When the seals do give up in a few years, I will not be having FoMoCo foot the bill for it.
