Eco VS. V6

The only advantage I see that the Base EB Fastback/Coupe has over the Base V6 Fastback/Coupe is the availability of ordering "Ceramic" Cloth Interior rather then be stuck with Ebony Black. The Base V6 Convertible oddly doesn`t get the same Ceramic Cloth Interior option as the Base EB Coupe since the EB 2.3 I4 Convertible is only available like the 5.0 V8 GT Convertible in "Premium Trim" with Leather interior.

Hello there, EcoSwag1990...love the fact that you're so predictable...every few weeks you wonder if I regret my purchase and I keep reiterating that I love my 2015 V-6 vert. I have had a 50 year history with Mustangs and have owned 10 of them. I like the V-6 very much. How many Mustangs have you owned EcoSwag1990? Just curious if you have any past history with Mustangs to compare your present EB to. Also I would like to know if the review in question might have been different had the V-6 been equipped with the 3.55 ratio like the EBPP?

Yea they should have gotten the 3.55 V6 to make it a more even acceleration comparison. The mpg probably would have suffered more tho

I refer you to my earlier post. Again you are incredibly over defensive. Nobody is talking down on your beloved V6. Just pointing out the contributing factors to the conclusions of the author. Comparing the acceleration of two engines with different rear gears and the comfort of two cars one with stiffer suspension and one without. Im not sure how what we're talking about has anything to do with you being old

So why don't the comparisons and reviews match similarly equipped cars? Yes, I'm old and have a long history with Mustangs, I know what the reviewer said. You EB guys seem to resent anything good being said about the V-6. He said, "Smoother, more comfortable, and cheaper, these are advantages to the V-6 model, especially in base trim." I said that these are exactly the ATTRIBUTES that I used to choose the V-6. That's when you and others wanted to state how the writer meant his comment. I guess the review seemed to some as not flattering enough to the EB crowd. And now look, EcoSwag1990, some hopeful EB buyer in Europe is all upset that our posts are too long. Back to my question though, just how many Mustangs have you owned? Some of us old Mustangers like to know how much of a historical perspective you might be able to share? Let us know, unless this might be your first Mustang and you prefer not to share.

I think at this point you are just dodging the fact that being more comfortable is not a benefit that the V6 has over a base EB. If I was your age and had previous mustangs I would not under almost any circumstance have gotten anything other than the GT so it doesn't look like your extensive experience is paying off to me. My last car and first car was an O7 Ford Fusion which was bought new btw not that it bears any relevance to this convo. I can see that you're butthurt now so I'll indulge

Writers do comparisons on what they can get their hands on. Car manufactuers only give out what they want compared.

Right know Ford is pushing all things Ecoboost and they will provide an EB Mustang to compare to the v6 that puts the EB in its best light.

What's "butt hurt"? Your sexual proclivities? Dude, I'm not "butthurt" or sensitive or offended by anything you've said. So no need for you to "indulge" whatever you're trying to say. As to whether or not my experience is paying off in your estimation, let me say that I chose to give up a 2013 GT to get this 2015V-6 vert because it was a steal with all the options for $28,700. It's a nice placeholder car until I can buy a GT350 or next years Mach I. I shopped your exact Mustang EB with the 50 appearance package but I could not get the Convertable with AT and the PP. I bought the V-6 because it was a true bargain. And now I'm finding out it's a great capable vehicle. I never said the base V-6 was more comfortable than the base EB. You seemed to want to correct me over my agreeing with the reviewer. It's OK for a young man like yourself to try to put an old man down...y'all have been trying that for centuries. Nothing wrong with young men thinking that they are always right either, time and life will set you straight. I'm the father of three grown sons, so I have some experience with cocky young males. Back to your new Mustang experience, do not be ashamed that your present Mustang is your first Mustang. We all had our "firsts"... You have bought a good one. I'm on my 10th and will continue on owning them. You, on the other hand, might go on to BMWs or such if you're "Butthurt" with your first. Please keep on acting like you know what you're talking about. We old timers are truly amused.
