what do you guys think? would the new 15 ecoboost beat a e92 335i?

some stats

Mustang Ecoboost: 310 hp, 320 lb-ft, 3,532 lbs
0-60 mph 5.3, Quarter mile 13.9

335i: 300 HP, 300 ft lb, 3500 lbs
0-60 mph 4.8 sec, Quarter mile 13.8

seems pretty even to me. considering its a inline 4 turbo and the e92 is a inline 6 twin turbo

The 335 gets highly underrated by Bmw. It wouldn't surprise me if the 300 were almost whp.

I've not actually come across one but I've seen reviews showing 1/4 mile times more in the low 13s with 105 MPH traps... I think you might have a chance if you have the performance pack vs a E93(vert) with auto but not the sedan or coupe. It would take us a couple of mods to beat one of those stock...

Plus what Tommy said the 335i's typically put 300 to the wheels vs our ~260.

I think at the wheels they are about 275 stock. ive never put the car on a dyno stock. but 300 is the HP at crank.

Okay sounds about right and it would explain the numbers.
Then I guess they have around 330 on the flywheel (or something in that neighbourhood)?

Do you own one?

For some reason I had 300 in my mind for the 335 but it does look like ~265-275 depending on which engine (n54 or n55)

lol, real world numbers are much farther apart. nobody is getting the times you quoted for the EB, and i have never witnessed a 335i e92 as slow as you quoted in the 1/4. Mine would do 13.5 on a bad day with a heavy passenger(stock). I too hoped the EB would be close to the 335i, but trust me its not even close. They feel 60-75 hp apart. Thats why i ordered a GT. BMW underrates their engines

yes I do.
with the JB4 and a charge pipe you get a substantial gain in HP to the wheels.
I haven't put mine on a dyno, but people say on Map 4 of the tune you get up to 85 HP gains....I used map 1

*sold the car when I bought the GT.

You'll get smoked. I had a friend drive my 335i (been bone stock for awhile and there are a lot of miles on the engine - about 130.5k) while I was in my GT. 335i nearly kept pace up to my 3-4 shift before it was getting walked. Same results after multiple runs.

Highway runs were walks every time. That I6 works best in the midrange but dies up top as speeds rise.

this is a dyno of somebody that ran the car stock, then ran it with mods.
I think stock vs stock there might be a race. the 335i might pull harder towards the redline, because BMW engines thrive in the above 4500 RPM range.
does anybody have a stock ecoboost dyno?
