So just to clarify, with a Lund (or AED, PBD) Flex Tune, that let's you run FlexFuel (the pump at my source here shows 51-83%) __or__ just straight 93, or some blend of 93 + some FlexFuel, right?

i.e., I'm assuming you just kind of fuel as you want, straight 93, Flex, a mix of both, whatever, and the ECU + the tune figures out the rest (in terms of alchy content, effective octane, etc.) As opposed to something like a full out E85/E85R type tune that can't adapt to lower octane specs.

Is there any reason to run a straight 93 tune since flex is available now. My nearest E85 is around 60 miles away so e85 would be few and far between tanks

Oh considerably. Peak hp on flex with corn is the same as a straight e85r tune just doesn't add the timing as quickly.

Well dang. If you can have the power with the comfort of being able to fuel the car up without fear then that’s amazing.

2019 GT 3.31 gears. 25/26 hwy at 70mph on E40. E85 ~20 at 70MPH.
DON'T GO WITH FLEX. PERFORMANCE DOES NOT MATCH UP WITH REAL E85 TUNE.
If no E85 ALONG your trip route, take 10 minutes and go back to stock/or a tune for 93 which ever you have available. PROBLEM SOLVED !

As an option, ECU handles E40 no problem. WOT Lambda runs ~.85 AFR ~ 12.5/1 BOTH OF WHICH ARE FAT ALBERTS -BUT- DEFINATE GAINS IN BUTT DYNO and a vacation for the Coyote. Real Dyno clocked 404 RWHP on E40. Genuine E85 ADDS 45-55 MORE RWHP E85 IS THE BIG DOG but from E40 TO E85 IS A GAIN OF DIMINISHING RETURN. E40 IS THE MOST VOLUME EFFICIENT ENGINE FUEL BUT NOT THE MOST POWERFUL.

PS - most (but not all) of this is from following the science DAMN I NOW HATE THAT PHRASE. Eng & Tech Journal Vol 29 No 7, 2011

Peak numbers actually about the same but timing is brought on quicker/earlier on a straight e tune.
