Nice! I hope that when I go to a DynoJet, I will have similar results.
I wouldnt switch from dyno to dyno is youre trying to compare results, because it wont be accurate. I believe mustang dynos are supposed to be more real world number? In the end it doesnt really matter like stated before. :gossip:You sound like a woman trying to find a scale with the lowest read out:gossip:

From what I've read, the Mustang dyno tests in a "loaded" situation. Where there is resistance on the wheels like you would have going down the road hwere as the Dynojet tests in a way that is more like the wheels being free in the air with little or no resistance.

Some tuners prefer the Mustang dyno because it is more "real world" and allows for more accurate "real world" tuning.

IDK, but it makes sense to me.

One of the tuners, I believe it was Cobb, said they look at percentage gains from dynoes as it is a more accurate guage of a mod. For instance, regardless of baseline numbers or dyno, a tune should produce a certain percentage increase in power. That seems very reasonable to me. It would be interesting for someone to start a thread posting percentage increase of various mods. It may be a better way of looking at things.

Reason for going to another dyno is for various reasons. I am going to a place I used to go to but could not remember where they were since the last time I went there was over 8 yrs ago with my G35 and is way more reputable than the place i went to. This time I will be bringing my Bama tune. First they will do a baseline pull then do the upload and run the car again.

I'm sure all mustang dyno's are different as well, some are not "heartbreak". Since you were using 87 oct. that explains a lot.

Just threw mines on the dyno today. Factory stock 380 miles with about half and half 87/93.

I had the same expectation of 390. As for the tune, the vehicle is not tuned yet. I just wanted to get a base dyno prior to doing the Bama tune.
Draco - Still waiting for my FR (Borla) touring cat backs to come in, but today I pulled the trigger on the Bama tune which I'll load as soon as the cats are installed.

Not getting a CAI now; maybe later. But I do intend to drop in a K & N as soon they're on the market. Knowledgable guy at the dealership told me just the K & N should give a few more HP by just opening up the breathing a bit.

Waiting for the cat backs and the tune isn't as bad as waiting for the car, but I'm excited all over again.

AFAIK, from lowest reading to highest:

- Mustang Dyno
- Dynojet
- Dynapack

Mustang dynos are supposedly the most accurate, however I prefer using a dynojet simply because everyone uses it. There is ofcourse a difference between Mustang Dynos and Dynojets, but its no where near 18%. Probably closer to 10% and even then I was told that you can adjust Mustang dynos to read higher like Dynojets. Idk if thats true.

I know. I was expecting maybe 30 hp. The shop that did it got on the phone and they know some guys at SCT and downloaded the latest hot tune for the 2015 Mustang.

This is a 6 speed automatic with 20" wheels. I've got the dyno sheets on my refrigerator. I'll take photo's after work today.

Not totally different. More torque down low where it's needed. It's hard to stretch it out around here with the traffic. It does however, sound awesome.

According to my shop, headers will add another 30 hp. Add a Whipple supercharger and you could see another 170 hp on top of that.
