Well seeing as how my New Balance have got me some stick in another thread, should I bring out the speed cross I have on stock (waiting for my pink pair to wear out) ?

Is it more wrong than wearing NB and denim shorts, to colour code them to my car … ? :giggle:

I do have a set of those puma things, but only for a car I’m building with a very narrow pedal box :like:

Um, I’m kind of weirdly interested in what you might be wearing with those. On second thought, nevermind. I don’t think I really want to know. The styles these days confuse me and I’m old. My ASICS work great.
My ASICS worked great as long as they lasted. But for the past five years I was no longer able to buy new ones which would fit. Before I simply picked up a size and ordered them online and they always fit (had 4 pairs for different occasions). Since some time it looks like they changed the design or a feet models or whatever, and comfort and fit went away. Sadly no more ASICS for me.

Well, nice to see you gave up the pumps for something a bit more practical. :cwl:

I have a pair of Pilotis that I love, but they're starting to show their age. My problem is finding something in a size 14 that isn't either hideous or outrageously expensive.

The most important thing to me is a thin enough sole that allows me to feel the pedals, but no so thin that the ball of my foot gets sore from operating the brake pedal. I'm thinking I'll give Rothy's a shot, as I like the style of their shoes and they have good sales every other month or so.

I love my Rothy’s. My wife got me hooked on them. Good pedal feel and pretty comfortable. I wouldn’t run a marathon in them but I walk about 5 blocks downtown Chicago to my office in them just fine.

Sperry’s are pretty decent driving shoes too. Pic with the single pair is my Sperry. The other pic is the 4 pairs of Rothy’s and the Piloti’s. Variety is the spice of life!

I’ve gone through several pairs of speed cats and drift cats in my early years of track driving. They were nice but way too narrow for me. I’m not even a big person either.

Agree completely. Even sized up speed cats are narrow. I opted for he Drift cats instead.

You guys have probably seen the GrandPrix's on FB?! Here to tell you they are not a gimmick. Great quality, great in the car, suit me better than any pair of Sparco I have tried. This company has waayy too much of my money! (and yes, I had to get multiple pair to match the car...white and black for the car, red for the red trimmed interiror, LOL)

I just got these and really like them

I have the exact same pair. Bought em for the tiny footbox in my Factory 5, but they work really well in the Mach, too. I have a pair of OMP's for another toy of mine...

Cool! I like them because they can also pass for just casual sneakers.

I hate them and think they look goofy and wimpy but have no choice but to wear them when I’m driving my manual shift car. Seems the engineers never contemplated anyone who wears a 14EE shoe driving a manual Mustang and didn’t space out the pedals quite enough to prevent contacting two at once. My normal shoes just won’t work.
