I have only used drag mode at track. Never used it on street. But sport and track are a must on street for me, car is boring ass hell in normal mode.

Yeah 301a is a requirement after hearing all the feedback and giving in to spending the money. Not going to settle when I’ll be driving it daily for the next 5 years. That’s one of the reasons I’m going pp1 as well.

I just saw the wheels and didn’t think it through lol.

Seems like my buddy’s 2017 base sits lower than that but maybe not. The stock ride height of this pp1 at my local dealer is nice. Not sure if I would drop it any more than that. Don’t want to worry about speed bumps or scraping.

Looks exactly the same height as mine from the same angle.

Much better from that angle. So I wonder what the actual difference in ride height is between base and pp1.

On a side note, I got a pretty good Christmas bonus so the timeline may be moved up to finding a killer end of year deal. I’ve got about 10 days to make it happen so we’ll see.

Agreed don't settle! Buy once, cry once.

Having said that for the sake of discussion I think I could replicate or even improve upon the PP1 for cheaper in the aftermarket. So if forced to choose...

I could've had the same car as mine, with a PP1 package. I didn't care for the wheels and tires on the PP1 package, and knew I would replace them anyway. I don't feel that the car needs Brembo's in my case (very happy with the standard GT brakes), so it would've been $4,000 wasted. I did feel the 301A package was worth it, as it included several items I really wanted. Buy exactly what you want, and you won't have buyers remorse. I would've bought a PP2 if it was available with the A10. When the PP2 replica wheels came out I jumped on them.

True. However, the goal of this car is out-of-the-box performance, daily driven fun. Which is why I’m doing pp1. I wont be sinking money into this car other than minimal cosmetic mods and a res delete h pipe. I have a kid about to go to college and twin 9 year olds lol. Warranty is most important especially with some of the *possible* issues with the motors.

I’ve been driving a Kia Forte and Honda Ridgeline for the last 10 years. My last mustang was a 2001 GT. This will be quite the upgrade especially in pp1 form.

My last Mustang was a ‘99 GT ‘vert. The ‘18+ Mustangs are a completely different beast, especially PP1+Magneride. BEST. MUSTANG. EVER.

Drag mode/toggle cars are 2-3 tenths quicker (assuming traction) than a 300a mustang. My base was tuned right after purchase so it was a moot point imo. I choose the PP over the 301A and glad I did. My S sport mode on the shifter is Drag Mode via tuning. Very easy to access. Only paid 34k for PP and a10.

I required the 301a for the screen and modes. My only real must have when shopping an 18GT. Worth the little extra.
This...!!

Worth it. I added the nav also and the rest is After market.

Yeah I’m anticipating greatness. Still haven’t driven one. Thinking about going on Wed. The ruby pp1 I posted earlier is still there. It’s at least a 400a though (no window sticker) bc it has leather + screen and toggles. I’m sure they want more than my budget allows.

If I can find a base pp1 for cheap enough, I’ll prob do it and just add sync 3 for $1500. I won’t be tuning it bc of warranty so drag modes are a must, especially after all the feedback in here.

That’s a nice combo, just out of my price range. Although there are some sub-10k mile gems online. Just hate wasting close to $1k on shipping or fly and drive.

Another one haha. Don’t care about Nav though unless it happens to already be in the car I end up buying. Trying to save as much $$ as possible lol. Don’t want to spend more that ~$35k out the door so ~$33k pre-tax (6.25% + $33 fee). I may end up a little higher than that but really don’t want to be.

Do I have this right?
option 1-Base plus 301A gives you the modes and screen for $2k.
option 2-Base and PP give you the modes, wheels, brace, suspension, brakes, larger rad, torsion for $4k?
option 3-premium gives you modes, screen, leather/heated/cooled seats, heated turns signals and indicators for $4k? So 2 extra grand for leather and turn signals?

I came across this question when I was buying my '17 and while it's not exactly the same interior wise, I did opt go to with the premium package with the nice larger screen and the selectable driving modes.

I can say I don't regret that decision at all. You'll forget about the small difference in payment but the cheaper looking console will bother you forever:)

I'm a little old school, so I didn't really care for the digital dash at all. Much prefer the analog gauges. But, Magneride and active exhaust were must haves. Different strokes for different folks I guess.
