please see picture
im still trying to resolve my pre collision assist error and have my windscreen replaced because there was a crack in it, but if you look at the picture
it seems there could be some water in the sensor area, from the outside of the car when i use a cloth to clean the windscreen in this area, i can see the water moving.. and it just doesn't look right from the outside either (the sensor camera?)

if you have a bullit/mustang, - does yours look similar?

excuse the rain splash / smudge on the second picture, i was cleaning the windscreen with a cloth which got wet

It looks a bit funky to me. Here is a photo of mine (it's raining here this weekend, so the windshield is embarrassingly dirty right now). When my windshield is clean there is a bit of schmutz UNDER the glass near one of the sensors (circled in red), but it does not seem to affect operation (but it does annoy me to no end 🤬).

I wonder if my sensor is a mess and needs replacing or cleaning at least because I am get pre collision assist error which annoys me …

I took off my rear tints and strangely it appears to let me have access to the settings again … but then error came back

The circle that looks like water in it is only for the rain sensor- it has a clear jelly pad sandwiched between the glass and sensor. That would not have anything to do with the issue you are having. Perhaps there is a calibration procedure for the camera after a glass replacement?

Thanks for that advice . I had the issue before the screen replacement. Ford are being over complicated and said I need to go to a bodyshop and check bumper radar … etc .

it is calibrated
Strange as I said when I removed the back tint it temporarily came on in the settings allowing me to access …

I do have rear view and frontdash cam on windscreens not sure if that could be a potential issue but to be fare I had the issue before that install

Usually must replace the windshield with a factory model, not aftermarket to be assured the glass meets specification.

It should not look like that to my understanding.
With the rain sensor (that's what the "eye" is for), there is a gel layer in between that has apparently run.
This could put the rain sensor out of operation.

The collision warning should run completely through the radar sensor in the front bumper.

It sits on the driver's side behind the lower grille (filled grid), but that's on the LHD.
Can imagine that it is exactly the same with the RHD, only that the driver's side is just right.
However, it is unclear to me whether you can get there without removing the bumper.
Maybe you can torment the search on Youtube, there will be videos regarding the front skirt, which may contain the info.

Thank you again for your help

I did have a look and see something hanging but not sure if that’s a sensor and I would rather not fiddle with a screw driver. It was the rhs

First, separate the two items.

The rain sensor issue needs to be resolved with whomever did your glass replacement. If that is not supposed to look like it does, compared to others - then that is an issue that needs to be resolved with the business or installer of the replacement glass.

What is the brand of glass that was installed, can you snap a pic of the branding on the actual glass, which should be towards the bottom, possible center and show us?

The actual bumper sensor should not have been affected by a glass replacement - because there's no reason for a glass installer to be messing around with a sensor mounted behind the bumper that would not have changed any position. You also shouldn't need to mess with it - UNLESS the car had a frontal impact resulting in the initial cracked windshield glass - and if that is the case, then if a body shop was involved, they should be fixing the problem.

My windshield was replaced by SafeLite last February. During the initial order/checkout I had the option to choose between "Ford OEM" glass and "Not OEM" glass, I chose Ford of course. Once the installer was done he had me drive him around town with his laptop connected to the OBD port to calibrate the whole enchilada.
Just to give you an idea how it was done for me.
