getting windscreen replaced/ recalibrated? anything i should know (pre collision assist error)

i have been getting a pre collision assist error, ford refused to fix under warranty, they did a temp fix and said it was an error due to the windscreen being replaced.
however i never had the windscreen replaced, and the temp fix after a few weeks came back. and ford left me a voicemail saying, its to do with the windscreen get them to fix it.. so i didn't bother taking it back to ford.

however i am getting my windscreen replaced by autoglass (uk company) who will recalibrate the glass etc - and i hoping this will fix the issue

if it doesn't, is there a diagonistic tool i can buy to reset the funcition on the car? (obd2 reader) any reccomendations if this will work and which model?
can i somehow completely turn off the pre collision assist error, so the error doesnt come up....

i am hoping the windscreen replacement will fix the issue....
