What about the ability to earn lots of money by shifting into first at high RPM's? Isn't that what a money shift is all about?

Assuming you know what a money shift is, the stock trans won't let you do that.

Eh, my car will scarily whip your around in second on a turn like that, but maybe it's the torsen...

surely if you blip the throttle to rev match with the shift then it won't do any damage? I can think of one corner for doing that, uphill hairpin using a bit of oversteer to get the car around. Big blip and a downshift to first gear followed by corner. Second gear doesn't rotate the car at such low speed

its a single track road, two way traffic with a 180degree corner on a 1 in 5 slope with not a lot of visibility at at least one of the three hairpins. One side a rock face the other side a few hundred foot drop. Aye, all you hero's are welcome to that uphill in 2nd .

This is a 1st gear turn, all day long, in 2nd you'd be bogging.

I don't know when I would want to do this but, for sake of argument, 15 mph is 2200 rpm in my car (2019 GT MT PP1). How would downshifting into first at 16 mph (2350 rpm) from second (1525 rpm) do any damage to the clutch? There's a similar rpm spread between 2nd / 3rd around 25 mph, and I can't see anyone saying that you couldn't downshift in that condition.

Down shift into first either just before you stop or stopped. Anything else beats the snot out of the synchros. Leave it in second. Plenty of torque to get you up to speed again when your are already moving.

I do remember watching a movie with jason statham where he slams the car into first + breaks real hard, though.

I can tell you what happens when you downshift into first at excessive speed. When I was 15 I wondered what would happen if I downshifted into first at about 50mph. My brother wasn't to happy when I had to replace the clutch in his mustang.

Oh I completely agree. Chronicles of riddick is one of my all time favs. That wasn't really a joke on Vin's acting, just more of a joke because it popped into my head.
