I could be wrong but i thought the Torsen Diff design locks when 1 wheel starts to slip therefore is not a LSD.

I am planning on getting a GT and then lowering it with some type of suspension and getting aftermarket wheels. Is it still worth it to order with the performance package if I plan to replace these components anyways. I feel like i would be throwing 2500 away that I could use for the parts I want to buy... thoughts?
I have professionally coached many would be buyers on various packages they need to order on their mustangs in order to be successful in their lives. I offer up to 20 coaching sessions at very reasonable prices....:lol::lol:

If you are going to leave the car with a PP, maybe its worth it. But if you have ideas of different springs/struts/wheels/axle ratios, I think its not worth it.

The black wheels really grew on me. I thought the textured dash and gauges look cool.
I really like the 3.73 gears for low end. Suspension work, etc. I think it's a very cool package and I voted with my wallet.
Great idea Lazar!!!! ;)

Not worth it even if tracking (road course) occasionally. If you are planning to go to a road course regularly and are a fast driver, then it is worth it. Not needed for 1/4 mile blasts.

I'll never understand the people that post on these forums "should i do this" or "do i need these/this". Hell, we don't know what you want or need; only you can decide that. Do what works for YOU what meets YOUR wants or needs. I mean, what you SHOULD do if your so indecisive is send me your money and i'll make some decisions real quick!!!:lol::lol:
i can understand hey is this product good, or any reviews on this product; but NO ONE can decide like you said if you should buy something or not. Hell as people who can afford really nice cars we dont NEED mustangs, we WANT them. I didnt need to give up my 03 V6 but hell, im 28, about to graduate with my MBA, and make 80k a year right now so why the hell not.

A Torsen never locks up completely and behaves like an open differential when one wheel is sufficiently unloaded. IE: one wheel peel.

What it does do is apply power to the outside wheel in a corner which helps the car turn while under power.

Except these questions arise because those of us who don't have a car yet are looking for others experiences. Maybe you've thought of something I haven't, for example. Or maybe the marketing is overblown in this aspect or that. Which I'd never know if I didn't go on here and read about it.

For example, how much is it to maintain the PP brakes long term. Hadn't even thought of that until reading the forums.

Or how for serious performance, or even just for lowering the car, you end up replacing some of what the PP has in the first place.

please use the big pp thread if yall wanna spark this debate up again and again and again and again

Seriously. This question/topic is getting about as bad as a manual/auto thread. Enough already. The search engine here works very well...

I never understand people that go on a discussion forum and click on posts and have no input but to just post something pointless... It's a discussion to talk through what people's opinions are... If you don't like reading posts then don't click on them.. If you don't like discussing cars then just don't come on here... What do you want to read on here.? I was looking for opinions on if people saw value in the other parts that are included, the ones I will not replace.

I bought the GT Premium w/pp. 6 speed manual. I did it because the PP package for $2,500 is about 25% what it would cost you after market and have it installed. It is well worth the price.

With that said...I sold that same car because I hated the manual. For me, the manual, combined with the 3.73's and the ratio of the 1st gear of the MT-82 tranny was just rediculosly short. I never planned to track or auto-X the car. It wasn't even my DD. It was just my fun to drive car and rowing throught those gears over and over took the joy out of that for me.

I orfered a 2016 GT Premium w/ auto and 3.55's. Like many others I will put on after market wheels, tires and suspension. That will good enough for my intended use.
