Anyone else swap from one aftermarket wheel to another after a couple years on the same car just to change up the look? Ive had my Signature 901 on my car for 2 years and they are still perfect, less than 2500 miles on the car total. However, i am thinking of changing them out for something different just to freshen up the look of the car. Not an inexpensive venture because Ill probably go with another set of Signature wheels. My wife thinks I am out of my damn mind and is of the opinion an aftermarket set of wheels is fine but once you change them, they stay on the car forever. Is 2 set of aftermarket wheels in less than 3 years and 2000 miles too many?

"Out of your mind?"

I don't think so. If you want different wheels, so be it. I have an MG purchased 3 yrs ago. Still NOT on the road. Runs fine no reason not to. Just the way it is.

Same here… have been running my Ford Performance wheels since I bought the car, but I am buying a set of Project 6GR replacements to change things up a little bit. And I do mean a little bit, virtually the same design and color, but different.

I had 2 sets for my previous Mustang, and I am strongly contemplating getting a second set for my Mach 1 just to be different... Plus I want a set of all season tires for the colder months so I can feel better driving if its really cold out, not snowy or icy but just cold :)

Not unusual at all.

I know people who have multiple sets just for looks, and even people who have wheel sets for cars they dont have yet.

Me, yeah, I like looking and thinking of changing wheels even if I'm happy with my current set lol.

I have a set of drag wheels and my street wheels. Made my quickest and fastest pass on the 20" street wheels, so I never put the drag wheels back on lol

I would like a set of Vossen or Signature, but my son just started driving and insurance is expensive lol

If you want to change up the look, go for it. I’m contemplating the same. I have a winter set (stock GT wheels) and a set of SVE CFX for summer. Thinking of going with Apex or 6GR for a set of 19’s. Just because, not because I need another set for track or something.

Do what you like and what makes you happy 😎

I know that it’s come up 1 million times on here but I can’t stand the black wheels. I’m older so I’m old-school and I need something different in my life. I usually change the wheels out immediately but I’ve waited on the Mach until now. Pictures coming soon.

Its funny that she a woman would think you are out of your mind. You'd figure a woman would definitely understand accessories for different occasions. I have no idea how many pairs of shoes my wife has just for that occasion. Me? 2 pairs is a lot already.

Yup. I agree. I can't stand the dark colored wheels. No pop at all. I wish the Apex wheels im looking at came in chrome

I have two different sets (each with 8 wheels) from Velgen, one set featuring drag radials and matching fronts, and the other set equipped with extreme performance summer tires. I swap them back and forth. I don't take it down the drag strip.

Only a question of money. If it doesn’t matter then go got it. If it will cause hardship then may not.
