I was doing some research on getting a set of 2 rear drag wheels and tires for my 18 GT. Was looking at race stars and they say they are drilled for 1 3/8 lugs and need a lug kit? Does this make the stock pp1 wheels not work anymore?

If anyone has any advice on a drag setup that is compatible with the stock lugs and lug nuts that would be appreciated.

I know for race stars you need there washer and shank kit. As far for drag wheels that fit oem lugs, I dont think anyone makes a drag wheel that will work with oem lugs. I wouldn't put oem lugs on a drag application anyway.

My old race stars used shank style. My new ones are conical.

OEM lugs will not work either way.

Not sure what OP means by 1 3/8, s550 studs are 14mm.

I uses the spline drive lugs from my SVE wheels on my recluse drag pack.

I did some more research, I guess the racestars need a special lug kit.

Ended going up with VMS 17x10 racing wheels with some conical lugs recommended by Beefcake and 325 45 17 MH racemasters. We will see if I can finally get some traction on the street in drag mode, bone stock or tune only.

One question I do have is, will the conical lug nuts work with the stock PP1 wheels? These are the ones I got

Those lug nuts are literally the ones I use on my race stars.... So I might suggest you research better. Use the OEM lugs with the OEM wheels.

Roxie from AZ uses JMS Chip drag pack wheels and the factory style lug nuts those wheels come with on the front. On the rear I have big struds and use open lug nuts.

I just put on a set of the 18x10.5 racestar recluse in the rear and used my acorn style lug nuts... seem to work just fine
