Just wanted to share some pics of the Lethal Performance LPXHD clutch in my car after just 3000 miles. Car is a 2020 900whp Whipple car. In the process of RMAing it but the process has been a nightmare.

Only reason I went with this over the RXT is because I was worried about the RXT breaking the trans. Trans ended up breaking anyways and this clutch just adds insult to injury.

Looks like when the friction material broke off it got stuck between the clutch disk and floater plate because there is clutch material layered on top of the floater.

3rd gear broke pretty bad
Geez.. did you talk to BC about it ? I think he recommends lethal clutches or something now. He also says the wrong clutch (like the rxt) will break gears.

I haven’t talked to him about the clutch but I’m waiting for him to release the stage 3 build before buy a trans from him.

Honestly didn’t even know the clutch was in that condition until I pulled the trans. Car felt and drove fine, didn’t even slip on pulls. Definitely didn’t feel comfortable putting it back in though.

I mean is it possible it was just poorly installed. Calimer recommends these clutches. The RXT is known to grab too hard and destroys MT82’s even Calimer built stage 2’s. With that being said stage3 is in its testing phase now so should be out soon. Maybe a Mccleod will do ok then. And lastly I assume Lethal is warranty replacing that clutch.

I broke a MT82 with stock hp on the street with street tires on my 2011 gt. Get a TR6060 or t56 magnum, much better transmission, held 630 rear wheel torque easy and I missed like 90% less shifts with it too.

I have to send the clutch off first before they can warranty it, in the meantime I picked up an RXT for cheap since it’ll hold up to hot laps at the strip better. Where did you hear about the stage 3 releasing soon? I’ve got my original trans on standby ready to go out once it becomes available.
