December/January Orders

Bah nothing for me yet. Ordered Dec 23, now 4 weeks in and no VIN or anything. I know others have waited much longer but it sucks a bit. My dealer can't pull up any info for scheduling, it's still unscheduled. I'd at least like some kind of ballpark so I know if I need to order winter tires or not.

I cant wait for someone at the dealer, or dept. of motor vehicles to ask for my VIN# for the new Mustang, so I can impress them by "rattling" it off right off the top of my head...HA. They will think I do have a photographic memory I bet.
Comes from looking up COTUS so much. I bet lots of us here can do that huh?

I got pulled over for texting while driving. I was texting my friend because I just saw a BMW 335i while they were new. I tried explaning to the cop why it was worth texting about. I then gave him my license, registration, insurance and said I could tell him the first 8 or so digits of his car because I like cars, and numbers stick in my head. I gave him 1FALP71W he shrugged it off walked to his car, stopped wrote his VIN down, came back to my car and asked me to repeat it.

I didnt get a ticket.

something "may" be up. i ordered the same date. got vin last thursday and it is being built on 2/2

check with dealer for your priority number and if they have allocation?

It totally messes with my projected timeline of 6-8 weeks (I was leaning more towards 8). Now i'm rushing to sell my current car and trying to get the Ford Private Cash from the brochures... but! still extremely happy with that EDD, can't wait to see her!!

Looks like your dealer probably put the order in as dealer stock.

I would still expect 2-3 weeks after its built for delivery time. So make sure you're factoring that in

We are all trying to read the tea leaves to see what might trigger such a auspiciously short lead time.

Anyone heard info or even rumors that the Ford rebate on Mustangs, currently $500, may go up? I ask because when they were enticing to place an order, they said besides the 4.6% below MSRP price, they would honor the $500 off even if it went away AND that if the Rebate went up, they would give me the new higher Ford rebate. He said, historically the rebates go up as the model year moves on.

I just got my call returned by my salesman. He said:
my order process started 1/15
my build date was 2/23 (7 weeks from 1/5 order date)
When I asked when he thought it would get to the dealership (South Bay SF Bay Area, CA), he said probably third week of March. Darn I was hoping for early March.

He said their allotment is for 17 for the quarter. This includes customer and stock orders. I guess that is not too bad of a build date. I can only imagine if I had ordered from the very small dealer in the town next to me. I bet they have a very, very small allotment.

Hmm we ordered the same day and yours is one week further back.

DORA Priority Code: 10 Which Is weird because I've read on here that DORA Codes for X-plan is usually 19.

Same order date. I have a VIN but nothing else. I messaged Rachel on Monday and have not heard anything. Where did you find your priority?
