Dealership Sticker

My dealership decided they wanted to leave their mark on my car. After having the car for 4 weeks, I am going in tomorrow to put the Speed Stripes on. I am also wanting to tell them to take the dealership sticker off. They said they would do it, but now I am hesitant about it. When my dad got his truck, they took of the sticker from the agency they got it from and put theirs on it. The problem is that the old sticker stick had stuff left on the tailgate, and now it has the mark left there. I don't want that to happen to my car. Any ideas on what I should do?

If you're worried about them removing it (which I would be as well), I would have a professional detailer remove it. He's not biased about having a logo or something on there. He just wants to do the best job and get paid. Plus he has the tools for the job most likely.

I've removed all kinds of stickers and adhesives from various surfaces including interiors/exteriors with WD-40 or Goo Gone. Just apply some and let it set for a minute or two - then wipe away! Make sure to clean the area well afterwards and you should be set.

Peel it off and use some petroleum product to remove the glue and then move on with your life.

It should peel off fine but you should have done that immediately when you got it or better yet should have told them not to put it on... but you cab use the rear vanity plate instead... dealers always want to advertise where you got your car when driving on the road... That is what I did as well as requesting not to put the front plate on since I am getting a sto n show bracket... they would work with you to keep you happy.... if you want to change the vanity plate... can be done at any time to one of your preference.... if you take it in for service.. you cab always put theirs back on so their feelings don't get "hurt" That is what I may be doing but for now. Waiting for plates to come in

Yep, first thing I did, peeled right off, not advertising for someone who ruined my car.

I've debadged plenty of cars. Only thing addl I'd add is heat up the emblems or tape with a hair dryer first. Makes it much easier to pull / peel em off. On emblems I either grab em away from the body with a pair of pliars and pull straight out away from body or fishing line on stubborn ones / hard to get to.

Your paints not old enough to show signs of the emblems, if you do it right. Simple stuff, but I'd trust myself over some other guy to do it.

Be careful with that trunk lid.... the metal is super thin and can bend veey easily

Stopped in at my dealer to make sure that they won't be putting the dealer decal on.
Half way through the request...he stopped me and said "yea, I know, no sticker".
One of the other sales people told me that they had stopped putting the decal on any Mustang, because the new owners were demanding that they be removed.

On my 14 I was able to peel them off with ease, I will do the same on the 15 haha, along with the dealer plate surround as well.

I have peeled the dealer stickers off without heating them up no problem in the past. I just used a finger nail to start and pulled slowly. No goop or residue left. I pulled the word "Sport" off my Wrangler and there was some glue left. I used Carb Cleaner and it came right off. I didn't say anything to my dealer and was pleasantly surprised they didn't put a sticker on my car even though everything on their lot had them. They put there plate frame on. I think that makes sense but will change it out with my own frame later.
