First time using a dealer that I bought the car from which is about 15 minutes away from my house. The sales staff blow, but I couldn't beat the price for my GT PP. The day after I got my car I got it scheduled to have a Lojack GPS device installed and I ended up waiting an hour and a half more than when it was done. Service told me that they told one of the sales staff that specifically scheduled my appointment for the Lojack that my vehicle was ready, yet she was apparently "on her break" and forgot.. But I'm going to go ahead and give it one more shot. I have a ford dealer like 5 minutes away from me, but for now, I'm going to try out the dealer I bought the car from.

Time will tell.

I buy my cars at one dealer and get them serviced at another. The dealer I buy my cars from is better for the sales side and the other dealer is better from the service side (at least for me they are better). I don't see a conflict.

If you take your car to a dealer for work and they give you a hard time or you don't like them in any way, I would take it somewhere else. They are making money from you. If they are going to take your money you should expect them to treat you well.
+1. Pretty much the way I feel...

Gonna go with my gut on this one lol

I would go to the dealership where i bought my car but it's 180 miles from my house. I tried to order my car from the dealer near my house which is 5 miles away but they wanted to charge me sticker price for my car. I haven't needed to get my car serviced yet but when i do i will go to the dealer near my house because they service my company car and i have no problems with them.

Do you have your car serviced where you bought it? Do you feel like your vehicle receives better care there? Or.... It doesn't really matter:shrug:

I purchased my car at a dealer that's about 41 miles away. It's not the closest Ford dealer to my home by a long shot: there's a dealer about 4 miles from my house.

When I took my car to my local dealer to inquire about the brake TSB, I got that not so fresh feeling. The SA asked if I purchased the car there, and then proceeded to act like he was doing me a favor by scheduling the repair work. :paddle::paddle:

Guess I'll be driving 41 miles for service :)
I have the exact opposite situation. I usually use a dealer that is a little over 100 miles away but they just screwed me over on a warranty claim and the dealer just a mile down the road has bent over backwards trying to help me. Looks like I am going to save a lot of gas!

Dealers aren't loyal to me, so why would I be loyal to them? The dealer I bought my Raptor from, had the worst service experience ever. After dealing with that, I went right back to my sales guy and returned the extended warranty. I use a different dealer for service now, and they have been great so far. Some of my other friends haven't been so lucky with them.

I shopped around to find the perfect 2015, and it was located almost 4 hours away. It's safe to say I won't go there for service, but it was the best price and service I have ever experienced at a new car dealer.

I opt for independent shops on service.
