Looking to mount the cam today.

Is it alright to stick the 3M tape onto the part of the windshield that has the dot-matrix? Or is that a bad idea?

I like the ThinkwareF750, are you happy with it?

How did you connect it to power? did you go to the passenger fuse box and used fuse taps?

It's fairly discrete. Power is tapped into the fusebox on drivers side (RHD). Very happy with it, motion detection, parking mode, etc all work no issues.
So far it's caught a guy who rear ended me & showed he wasn't even looking at the road upon impact. Also caught one of the dealerships drivers taking my car to the bodyshop & slagging me off (he didn't realise it records in cabin sound)

If you zoom in on the windscreen you can see the camera, it doesn't really stand out.

Yellow cable to Fuse 23, Red cabled to Fuse 2. Job Done

I did buy the fuse taps but they dont quite fit properly so i just wrapped round the fuse leg

Thanks! And it holds in place? Strange that the taps do not work that well, our fuse box cannot be that different to the US'

Looking good, thx for sharing. Was this the highest position you could mount the device, as I noticed that the lens rotates?

i have it about as high as it'll go without impeding removing the memory card, etc

Kinda anoid, Thinkware does not sell/ship to Switzerland. I have to find a workaround if I wanna get it. I will decide around september when some British colleagues are going to swing by, they can smuggle it across the boarder :lol:

Surprisingly I haven't seen much innovation in 2016 on the dashcam market, I'm still look for something discreet and dual HD. So far the winners still remain to be the BlackVue DR650 & Thinkware F750 IMHO.

I think the main difference between the F750 & F770 is:
