Dam you Ford!!!!

I think there is a difference between empathizing with the wait and agreeing with all the other drama like "ford failed/botched this and that" just because of that. Lots of passionate guys here who have waited a long time (I'm not one of those but I totally remember what it was like back in the day). I think people do care here, just that your being way too dramatic about it.

Fair enough.

And all of this will be a distant memory next spring. Everyone has a right to vent, especially when they don't jack a thread. I have become much more patient over the months, so I have become slightly less venty. I also talk to some in the 'know' so I also know this car is something so much better than most people will ever realize.

On May 20th my dealer told me: "Don't expect it until December" My Current ETA: 11/24/2014. <<<Example of NOT a horrible launch.
Just to play Devil's Advocate my dealer told me September build w/ October delivery way back when I ordered in July. After switching my retail to a stock order then dropping my original order with no notice I am still in order processing with a build week of 11/10 and an EDD of 11/26. And that could easily be December delivery. That isn't Ford's fault it is the dealers fault at guessing so early.

I would give Ford a C- on this launch. It isn't a fail but it hasn't been smooth as well. I'm hoping that the car will be a A+ to make me forget the long wait, delays and slow rollout. Time is crawling right now. :(

This car is absolutely beautiful inside and out. I have been a Mustang enthusiast since I bought my first car (1967 coupe) and this one will be my 13'th and I feel it is the best mustang ever produced.

This to shall pass I am aware and I'm sure having her home will erase my memories of the last 5+ months.

Lots of good points. I am just as disgusted but I bought an early 13 fusion and it is the biggest POS I ever bought from ford and cannot wait to trade it for the mustang I ordered in May and still don't have a build date for.

Let me just say a couple of things.

Mine IS a retail order. I chose retail and my dealer suggested retail. I had no expectations. My ideas came from what was happening before my eyes not what someone was telling me.

Did I say I expected to get my car on "this" day? No I did not.

So, it's not ok for someone to feel deflated? Well excuse F'n me for feeling this way.

Man I miss the inception days of this forum when people actually gave a fuck

I care. I do. But there is so little that you can do other than be patient. I know you're frustrated, but just keep your eyes on the prize. A few weeks from now, this will all be behind you. It's okay to vent. Or you can go for a bike ride or watch a movie or serve at a food kitchen. It'll all be okay.

Agree, it's been a terrible launch. I'm about ready to sell my Ford stock. I'm so frustrated with Ford and particular my Dealership for lack of communication.
You'd make a decision on the company's stock based on this? Hopefully nobody listens to any financial advice from you.

I saw a commercial last night on TV, I'm happy with the launch so far!

When I first signed up, this forum was fun. I've met some nice guys that have answered my PM's, and have been very thoughtful with their responses. As of late, anytime someone wants to "vent", some "know-it-all" jerk always has something smart to say. FYI... You don't sound smart. You actually sound like a prick. If you can't say something nice, you should at least try as hard as you can to simply say nothing. Sure, you're entitled to your opinion, but the desire to kick someone when they are down is disgusting. I bet you're a joy to live with. LOL

Assembly only started Aug. The factory didn't run 3 lines until recently as they needed to make sure the assembly was going good. New tooled factories take time to work out the bugs.
When I ordered a 2012 F150 in Aug 2011 I never received until late Feb 2012 and that was on an established factory line.
We all want it now, but even the dealers can't get more info as the factory has to schedule, order parts and start the build.... patience grasshopper.

Same here - December is what my dealer told me when I ordered on 5/20. And, I haven't bugged my dealer mercilessly either because that doesn't result in the car getting here sooner. As I've posted before, when you special order a car - particularly one that is starting production for the first time - patience is required because it will arrive when it arrives. If a dealer didn't set your expectations appropriately, that's on them.

Mine is scheduled to arrive 11/8. If I take delivery the week of 11/10, I'll be happy.

ps: I've been noticing the body panel alignment (esp hood/grill) is spot-on with the most most recent retail deliveries. Glad I didn't get an early stock order.

Zero concerns, just something else that was blown out of proportion IMO. My Wife checked the lines on one, knowing the drama on the forum. She pointed out things to me then said "Do people actually notice this stuff"?..."and care"?
