I was told 6-8 weeks. But this is coming from a sales guy that originally told me 2-4 weeks cause it all about changing up the order numbers to take someone else's car that was coming out of production.

I will say that i dont act or perform business on vague terms like 'reasonable", "more or less" and "timely manner". Too many dealers get people like that. When i traded my green 2015 for my red one, I had an offer on my current car and the X-plan price with a few other perks negotiated before I even left my house to go see the red car (two hour drive, lol) Once i got there, all was as described, we drew up papers, and that was that.

Dealer trust...

My convertible was one of the 4,000 on hold since early February. At each step of the order I knew more than the dealership (because of this forum!). I made sure that my EAA incentive from the Fall, 2014 had been locked in through the Ford Incentive Protection Program. The dealer really wasn't sure that this program really existed until I showed him the comments on this Forum and the Ford Contact number. When I finally got the car and paid for it...I found that my estimated price, including X-Plan, Incentives, dealer fees, state tax, and licensing was $300 higher than the actual final purchase price.

Through this Forum, I learned about the Ford ESP plan available through Flood Ford. My dealer offered me the same ESP for quadruple the price quoted to me from Flood Ford. They insisted that Flood's ESP had to be a rip-off scam, and that the Flood Ford ESP stating that it was a valid Ford ESP could not be true. I politely declined paying $3,000 for a 6yr/60K Premium plan. I am going to buy from Flood Ford.

My salesman I trust, but the sales manager who plays the numbers game I don't trust at all. I ordered my car but last week they got an identical priced one in the lot, just a different color. They couldn't figure how to let me have it for the same price as the one I've already got on order. Almost 3 weeks in and order is still in processing.

I don't trust anybody that can profit from the advice/help they are giving me.

In the last 10 year I've purchased new Chevys, Dodge, Fords, Jeep and Mazda but have shopped most the others and it's rare to find a sales person that knows much more than how to start a car.
