When I first signed up, this forum was fun. I've met some nice guys that have answered my PM's, and have been very thoughtful with their responses. As of late, anytime someone wants to "vent", some "know-it-all" jerk always has something smart to say. FYI... You don't sound smart. You actually sound like a prick. If you can't say something nice, you should at least try as hard as you can to simply say nothing. Sure, you're entitled to your opinion, but the desire to kick someone when they are down is disgusting. I bet you're a joy to live with. LOL
Preach on it brother. I'm with you on this.:amen:

Sounds like you got a stock vehicle, consumers are supposed to get retail orders to help avoid these problems.
If I have learned one thing in this process, that's it. I thought all the guys with Job 1 stock orders had cut a fat hog, with their early build dates. But none of them have a car yet. The early retail orders are only now being built and delivered, but they are better cars.

I am kind of a mixed bag, being a Job 2 stock order. Mine is due this week after being ordered in July, so the net effect has been a lot like being retail. And now we are seeing retail orders fly through from order to driveway in 30-45 days.

I will make sure I am retail next time.

Did you ever consider that this place is less fun also because people are constantly coming on here and complaining about things? Some criticism is fine, but nobody wants to come here and see a bunch of complaint threads, especially if it's just someone who's impatient and complaining about not getting a retail order when they want it.

First snow date TODAY!!!!!!!!

I can't even begin to tell you guys how disgusted I am right now. I am probably one of the biggest Ford fans, let alone Mustang fans and I am completely spent through this whole process.

No news,
No media
No commercials
No car

My car has been build since Monday and there it sits waiting to be shipped. All I can think of is all the horror stories from other members who's cars stalled at the factory for one reason or another and now I'm afraid something is wrong and NOBODY has a freaking clue.

Contacted Tricia DAYS ago, no answer.
My dealer says they just show an ETA of 11/08 but no info as to it shipping.

Everything has been a god dam communications breakdown and as much as I love Ford I think this release has been a complete and utter failure

Rant over, sorry guys.

Sure, I've considered it. I'm not going to debate you on that. I just don't know why people can't take a deep breath and let someone vent. Instead, the OP gets attacked like a feeding frenzy of sharks. Supposed "grown men" are like, "I ordered before you. waaa waaa waaa." Just sounds worse than a girl on her "monthly." And frankly, it's mean, and it's a character flaw to beat on someone when they're down. God forbid ignoring them. Let's attack!!

Let me just say a couple of things.

Mine IS a retail order. I chose retail and my dealer suggested retail. I had no expectations. My ideas came from what was happening before my eyes not what someone was telling me.

Did I say I expected to get my car on "this" day? No I did not.

So, it's not ok for someone to feel deflated? Well excuse F'n me for feeling this way.

Man I miss the inception days of this forum when people actually gave a fuck

I do not think that I attacked the OP (and you responded to me so I will respond to you), but I stand by my statement that some people do not have the personality to do these factory orders. The OP was talking about this being an abject failure, complaining that the company does not respond to him/her, etc. I am sure that the OP has been frustrated, and it is natural for us to have the "world revolves around us" thoughts especially when spending this much money. But let's have some reasonable perspective as adults.

Having worked through more than 10 product launches in the high tech industry, and been a part of others, I can say that the delivery of any product in any market, when put under a microscope, could be defined as being an abject failure. Most people hear about the product, see it when it "finally" reaches the store and go "hey, that product is there, let me go see it". Those folks are blissfully unaware of the countless hours, sweat and sleepless nights that go into the delivery of that product. The last minute punts, the diligent inspections and reworks. Most people only see the final product, buy and use it. Those like us that order it early are looking into the details, are expecting special treatment, are demanding accountability.

Ford is making a highly complex product here, redesigned from the ground up with hundreds or thousands of (newly designed) advanced technology parts all coming from different suppliers and merging together here at for the first time in high volume. Any one of those parts that has any sort of defect can hang up the whole system. Many engineers are working hard to inspect, replace and ensure the quality of the final product. Respect that they know what they are doing, give them the leeway to do their jobs and understand that even though you have ordered out of high expectations, in the end "your" car is only one of 100,000 that they will sell and they have responsibility and accountability to all of those customers, their dealers and their suppliers.

So just because we the early adopters, the enthusiasts, are putting this one car under a microscope, do not think for a moment that every car company does not deal with these same issues, they all have suppliers supplying hundreds of parts in high volume, they all have customers and they all have humans making the decisions.

So am I saying that the OP is being unreasonable for being frustrated? No, it is his/her hard earned money. Am I saying they are being unreasonable for how they presented themselves? In my opinion, to some degree, yes. Ford only promised to deliver you the car that you ordered, how you ordered it. They did not promise that they would give your car priority, to deliver it first, and to make it immune to the "odds" of some supplier's part that had a defect slipping into it's build. I would rather the engineers get it right, not spend their time answering my personal questions.

Maybe I only have this perspective because of my experiences, sorry if I came across condescending.

I hope the OP get's their car soon, and that it is awesome! :)

Best Regards, and to all a good night! ;)

Chris

You'd make a decision on the company's stock based on this? Hopefully nobody listens to any financial advice from you.
If anyone listened to my financial advise the wouldn't be able to afford one of these beauties. LOL :headbonk:
