I have been having cooling issues for a while. Not a big deal until i take the car to the HPDE events. Car is a whipple gen 2 with LUND tune. I always see 205 to 215 head temps driving around. Got to 230-240 a few times at MSR houston and got the coolant over temp light. I just this weekend installed a Fluidyne 3 Row Single pass and just topped off the water and not coolant. Highest i could get the head temp tonight after multiple 140 MPH runs and lots of screwing around was 208. I've seen several people comment about the 160 thermostat included with the whipple kit restricting flow so Im going to pick up a 170 ASAP.
Side note: I had a belt shred slowly enough that it stopped turning the water pump but kept running. Head temp hit 260 when the light came on and I shut off immediately. Blew a head gasket and had to machine the heads.
