Exactly my thoughts too..... On the surface, the DH for sure is a gas powered V8 500 hp Mustang. I spend quite a bit of time with my morning coffee looking at cars online - the DH would be an option if I were in the market for a performance vehicle (especially over, say, a C8 Corvette).

But...... I feel that the Mach 1 looks and FEELS like a muscle car. I have described it to others as the Mach 1 is more of a loud, in your face, bombastic here I am vibe whereas the DH has lost a bit of the Mustang muscle car heritage. I mean, Boss, Mach, GT350, GT500, Bullitt = giddy up and there is thunder involved.

The DH, yeah, it is 500 HP off the showroom floor. But man I think it is just lacking a bit.... I think it is just a bit too.... modern?

Regarding the tablet dash screens; maybe (in a perfect world) the DH could have been ordered with a "retro" dash and "next gen" dash so those who prefer the past gen set up could have that config and those (perhaps younger folks) who spend all day on their phones could have the tablet set up. But I know that this concept would be an engineering and manufacturing impossibility.

Ok, gotta go. My Mach 1 needs to be fueled up and I must burn off the remaining gas in the tank before filling up 😁
Lol….you read my mind. Just got back.

So based on Autotrader, Handling Package, Tremec cars, the average asking price is $56,081, average mileage is 14,600 miles. Funny how I got offered $47,000 for my car locally and in Cali on trade when I was playing with the 350 HEP idea. Fully loaded HP, Tremec with at the time under 4,000 miles 🤣🤣. Some of those cars contributing to that average don’t have the elite pack or Recaros like mine either. I genuinely think I have a $60k car here ($56-58k trade in) all day long.

These dealers now want to flex using “AI pricing tools”, but really, that’s just a lazy cop out that doesn’t properly reflect speciality cars like this. Both those dealerships I mentioned were Ford dealers too, mind you.

Fair price: About 10k below MSRP on a highly optioned, low mileage, excellent condition car.

The Mach 1s are not selling above MSRP yet. But I'm sure that won't last for long on the type described above.
Hmm, I'm not sure that's what the current market seems to be indicating. Low mileage and excellent condition for 10K under? I think those kinds of cars are going for close to MSRP... Although "highly optioned" does introduce a lot of variables. The more expensive the options, the bigger the discount likely is on the second hand market.

I passed on a ‘23 orange HP Tremec Mach 1 3 months ago and it was 1 owner with 9k miles at CarMax, not known for low prices. It was $49,888. Now, prices have seen a bit of a bump since then but Mach 1s aren’t selling at msrp. Regardless of what advertised prices are making people think. Not when you could just recently steal a ‘25 DH Tremec for $8500 in rebates and discounts off the $69K msrp.

Bring a Trailer completed auctions say $56-58K tops and one was 1100 miles I think.

Just really depends on the packages. I think I saw the one you’re talking about and it either didn’t have elite pack or was automatic, both of which lower value.

The orange one I passed at Carmax had hp, elite, tremec and one other thing I can’t recall now - B&O sub? $49,888 clean history 9k miles.

Don’t see that one listed, but there is a 2021 on carmax, but with an auto/no Recaros, 5k miles going for $57k.

It was end of April. And most were priced at $52-54K then, not sure why it was under $50K honestly. It even had the Recaros as well.

Honestly this winter and spring they hit pretty good prices which probably played into it. I think they’re surging up again though it seems with the season, and maybe peoples unhappiness with the product Ford’s putting out.
