I bought the GT350 when I was 28. I don't want to drive a fast car when I am old.
Spoken like a true youngster.

Why not? You're gonna need something to get your blood going. LOL
Fast cars are fun no matter how old you are.
BTW, thanks for the laugh.

Bought a 2020 this past year when I was 28. I figured I’d live young and fast for a bit before I get older and slower. My logic also behind splurging on this car was that I’d like to be a bit selfish before I start having a family. Treat yourself out now as long as you can live within your financial means. The GT350 definitely makes my daily 50 mile commute to work worthwhile :) It’s a buyer market now for the GT350 with this economy, I say take advantage of it if you plan on having this vehicle.
I've got you guys beat! Have one on order at the age of 25! It was supposed to roll off the line last week, but with the pandemic being what it is, I have no clue when it's actually going to get built. I'm throwing money at my 401k and at a few index funds outside of my retirement plan too. Hopefully I'll have enough money to retire. If I don't, I can always hope that my future wife is more responsible and can take care of me right?

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
I had my first muscle car at 16. 1969 Olds 442. That started a long life of fast cars and racing. Bought the Shelby at 63 and I’m far from done. So there’s that.

Old guys like to drive fast cars too!
but they don't have the reflexes even if they think they do. although experience is extremely valuable independent of reflex.

You're never too young or too old to drive a fast car. Life's too short.

Thanks for the input everyone. When I was asking about used pricing, I was more concerned with price gouging down the line.

Still aiming for this time next year to grab a 2017+ Blacked out 350.

I am 48. Have owned nothing but sports cars since I was 17. And yes your right, when you are younger you have less fear and feel invincible. You are likely to take more chances and push to the edge more.

But I can handle more powerful cars now much better, and had zero track experience in my younger years and really did not understand the concept of things like braking, steering, throttle response, etc. Carrying speed into corners. Trail braking. Understeer and oversteer. Properly prepping a car.

I am far more likely to not put a car in the ditch now than when I was in my late teens and early 20's and am much faster around a road course.
