The biology hasn't changed. You will get immunity from both having having had the virus and from the vaccine. They just do not know how long it is going to last. Right now it's 8 months.

A true N95 mask might help.

There are masks being produced today that are very effective in reducing the chances of open air infection. Masks are and have always been a preventative, not a cure, not a guarantee. But unless you want to be locked in your house it is an alternative. I hate them, but I'm doing what I think is best. To each his/her own.

More reading comprehension issues. Declines modestly from 6 - 8 months. Also, don't miss the part about antibodies varying wildly:
