The reason I added Mexico Ted Cruz is to show that democrats do not have an exclusivity on hypocrisy, republicans are also doing quite well on their own

Are you serious? His state was in the middle of a serious emergency and as a leader his duty was to stay there to help his people.... not to go in vacation in Mexico.....and he lied and USED his own daughters to deflect the heat..: what a scum bag

Hello; I did not know the trip to Mexico was already planed. Good point and good to know. The media anymore do not seem to much care about getting a story correct with facts. They are much too quick to run a story and go for what is sensational. That some media have taken sides in the political arena is also a shame. They will go with any story which colors a side they do not favor in a bad light.

There was a shooting in GA a few days ago. The shooter told what his reasons were right away. He is a mental case of some sort. But the press is running with an alternate reality the last few days.

Hello; For one thing a US Senator does not directly have much to do with the internal day to day running of the state they represent. He could put on some pressure to federal agencies and do photo opportunities. So from a publicity point of view he did lose, but from a practical point of view, not sure what he could do on the ground. He did come back right away.

Back in the late 1990's after I worked out my time in the public schools in KY, I took a teaching job in NC. I kept my place in KY as it was not sure the job in NC would last. They needed a qualified Biology teacher but we all know about age discrimination. One week a hurricane was on the way. School was dismissed early one day. I went to the house where I was renting a room to see if there was anything I could do to help. The guy said no, so I hit the road toward KY. I was renting a room in Boiling Springs Lake NC. About 20 miles from Wilmington and five miles from Southport NC.
I was using two lane back roads to leave at too high of a speed. Suddenly going the other way at even higher speeds was a line of NC state troopers. Maybe seven or eight cruisers in a line. I guess they saw me but none bothered to come after me.
I made it to Harlan County KY about eight hours later. I stayed in KY for a little over a week before school was ready to go back into session. Never saw a drop of rain from that hurricane. This was in the fall of 1998 or 1999.

Hello; Yes both sides do the same sort of thing. I am somewhere in the middle. A lot to dislike from both sides. I do think one side is much more of a danger to the way of life I prefer.
