Whatever dude! If your car was damaged you'd want more info. You are aware that FORD employees post on these forums? You could blame them. Maybe one of the salesman on these forums told Ford to change the source code so we would have 0 info to go on and buy a stock order at a dealer. The possibilities are endless.

Does that also mean that people scheduled on 10/22 who went into production today can expect production to [probably] complete on 10/22? And they should see "awaiting shipment" on 10/23?
Yes.

It's like a kid going through a toy store and constantly begging for that new toy to the point where your parents smack you on the head and pull you out of the store
Or he ends up getting the toy.

If it were damaged, you, yourself can't do a thing about it unless you were getting ready to take delivery and you rejected it because of some flaws... it's agood thing Ford caught it BEFORE it got to you because the situation might be different with a more pissed off customer..... ...yeah, I would love my car... but there isn't anything I can do about it unless I went crying to someone... I've got too many other things to worry about... work, gym to pass time and, uh, life... no point in worrying toooo much about something that ido not even have yet... only thing I have on it is a name on the DORA and a deposit... that's it.... sale isn't closed until you get your lienholder and everything else done

Obviously there was no malintent here. My status was "vehicle damaged-TBD." Who wouldn't call trying to figure out what happened? Like any upset/concerned customer, I wanted to know to what extent, a timeframe on repair, and lastly if anyone would have informed me that my 30k+ car was damaged. The response was- "we don't have any info about that" and my favorite, "you wouldn't have been told about it because you weren't supposed to be able to see that." I can see why they'd take it down. People may not want to pay full price if they know their car was damaged in transit.

By the way- no toy yet or info on the toy, it didn't get me anywhere.

I don't even have a vin yet so what's the point now? True if it got damaged, I would expect it to get fixed depending on the nature of the damage... if its something minor that can be replaced... then good, but I would not expect a "repair" on a brand new vehicle... at that point I would expect the car to get replaced... not going to be an idiot...I will definitely be scrutinizing everything on the car

nyyankees2589,

I'm 99% sure you're not the reason. Ford watches this forum (and others) and I think it's much more likely that they saw us posting about the source code stuff and the website team was told to fix it.

Nope..what that means is good ol american greed... lets pester service and dealers until I get what I want ... and I want it now.... screw everyone else as long as I get mine.... that is the lingering, back stabbing attitude I see here.... as much as I hoped to see my car, I really did not bug anyone yet the status or priority changes...it's the constant bickering because you have a small piece of info expecting the worst then flooding your dealer and service demanding you want yours now...go figure this was going to happen
In my case I would beg to differ that it's greed, however you might still classify it as such. My order went in on 5/20/2014 at 10:15 am est. first come first serve. My car isn't even built yet and other then maybe a handful of people on this sight I've been waiting longer.

damn i just spent a solid 2 hours back sourcing through Cotus and couldn't find shit. i figured they just hid the info in a link that is filled with coding but that doesn't seem to be the case. I mean from a programmer standpoint that information (HAS!!!!) to be in there somewhere. the dates and "what have you" don't have to be in yet. but the coding for that format to show up once those dates are set DOES HAVE to be in there some where but i cant find it. this means one of a few things.. either A.) im really sutpid (which I'm not lol.) B.) they completely re-termed there coding for "build dates" which would at least make sense or.. C.) they literally redeveloped their Cotus site to show build dates and other dates without having to have the format in the coding.. which can clearly be done with magic fairy dust...... (haha no...) <- but im going to go with this choice anyway.. because I like it more than choice A. and choosing choice B. would just lead back around to pointing to choice A. because i wouldn't be doing my job.. Sooo C.) is my answer.

I did the same thing. Did you notice they are even talking to each other in the code?

I can understand your case.. ive been waiting since 5/24 too.... but there really isn't anything I can do....I still have a strong belief that the orders placed as dealer stock to confirm to customer needs mucked up alot of things and it may be the reason why alot of this is happening... I don't think it is fair for any of us who truly ordered retail.. I feel your pain too because now I have to redo my finance preauthorization
