I can understand your case.. ive been waiting since 5/24 too.... but there really isn't anything I can do....I still have a strong belief that the orders placed as dealer stock to confirm to customer needs mucked up alot of things and it may be the reason why alot of this is happening... I don't think it is fair for any of us who truly ordered retail.. I feel your pain too because now I have to redo my finance preauthorization
If people hadn't switcjed to dealer stock I don't think it would have changed anything. The dealers would still have the same allotments to order before retail. I'm most cases the stock they are ordering is not what a lot are looking for. In central Florida I haven't seen 1 PP car show up and only a couple ordered. I seen dealers ordering 4 and 5 v6. I called one and they apologized they didn't have a v6 only a EB premium. Are you kidding? The v6 is stock not many add on and meant for fleet and you apologize. Most GTs are coming either base or premium with barely anything added. I would hate to see them have ordered more low end and some of our brethren here fall victim to settling for less then they wanted because of ford's lack of execution of this car.

Over here I have seen mostly gt some bone stock and others loaded along with the 50th...there are a couple with pp around here and a few v6 along with several eco.... normally dealers would order what they felt would sell on their lots.... mostly the lower end eco and v6 with a slurry of v8... there are mustang all over the place here... all generations but we are definitely bleeding mustang here.... may be diffferent everywhere else but if everyone that came in and ordered a v8 as a dealer stock order to their specs, don't you think that would affect the availability of the GT? It does.... but on the back end the logistics and forecasting was blown

I did the same thing. Did you notice they are even talking to each other in the code?
Yes, all sorts of messages in the code. You could even see what every component of the particular build was costed out to. I think they were afraid of people writing a compiler to gather too much information of package cost's.

This move has not been very helpful or appreciated. Did anyone get a VIN today?

Supposedly the VINs are being handed out at 4:00 P.M. EDT.

Thanks Jim, I for one will not be holding my breath. This entire process is making me bipolar. Trying to maintain a positive attitude, then get kicked in the teeth but having the source code taken away, atleast it was something to pass the time.

It's more likely that they re-factored the cotus site to not even request information that they won't publish on the site. The information for hidden dates and all of the other low-level data exists in databases somewhere on internal Ford computer systems, but that information isn't passed to COTUS unless the build/ship/transit milestones have been met and vetted, and then only the information that they intend the customer to see.

Your estimated build date (blend date on the window sticker) was 10/17. If they had finished it yesterday, it would have updated with 10/17 in the 2nd box on COTUS.

From the Stock-ordered cars that I've tracked, they have missed the blend date by 1.5 days (average).

More than likely, you will see 10/20 in the "In Production" box.

Maybe 10/18 if they are still working on Saturdays.

I guess it's time to bug FordService about my order. Even though it's in order processing my EDD is still counting down, now at 28 days from 29.

Here are some facts you can tell them:

I am tracking 15 Retail orders that have 10/22 as the Blend Date.

All 15 went into production on 10/15 according to COTUS.

Now only 5 are still showing in production, while the other 10 backed out of production.

Nothing stands out about the 10... all different colors, options, etc...

All the cars with 10/21 are still in production. All the cars with 10/23 are still in production. Only the 10/22 blend-date cars are affected.

It may straighten itself out, because we know COTUS is a total whackjob, but it's still worth asking about...
