People say loud and you hear it over and over till you think you are strapping a jet engine to your car. It's a good loud. Your expectations are too high...it's a great exhaust your worries will be put to bed soon. Think of it like all your friends saying have you seen this movie it was spook awesome and then you see it and it is awesome but they over hyped it.
Haha yea, I had a v6 with magnaflow catback before, so anything on this v8 will sound better.
Yea I agree, I just wish it would get here sooner than Monday, so I could break it in this weekend:/. and stop thinking about it haha.

Just re-read your comment... I take it back about the 'RICEY'' comment... Lol no matter what exhaust u put its never gonna sound ricey.. your prolly just used the Flowmaster/magnaflow sound.

The new coyote engine sounds different than the older 5.0s.

Yea I was just watching your videos again, and I really don't see when the "ricey" comment would come in, throughout the tack. ESPECIALLY under load, I never feel it's ricey. I'm just pumped to finally hear it in person. Yours is so badass with headers, for my birthday next year I'm going to give myself a kooks present:). The popping is SO nice haha you definitely won that competition.

Did you put it on yourself? I have all my jacks out at our ranch, but I might go pick up some cheap ass ramps from walmart or something and install myself, I have jack stands but no hydraulic jack.

Yea I know I am, I've got a problem haha. I am excited, never had a v8 sound of my own, I'm sure I would love any of these exhaust that we're talking about.

Unfortunately UPS can't get it here until Monday, so my weekend is absolutely depressing. Yea I dont have a floor jack, so I think I'm going to take it to the place that hypermotive suggested in Houston. Seeemd to have good prices. He wants under $100 for install. Seems a bit steep, but I don't want to drive 3 hours to our property to use the jack and it's better than the $220 ford would steal.

If he's charging under $100 for a CB install, I'd say go for it. That's a steal for not having to mess with it yourself. Not worth the 3 hour drive you're going to have to make, IMO.

A floor jack isn't much use because of the lack of a central jacking point (unless you're willing to place it under the diff)

All you need is the $40 ramps from Walmart. The install is fairly straightforward.

Anyway, under $100 to have someone install it for you is a great deal. Just make sure you watch them do it.. there have been some horror stories on here about shops that have cut people's new cat-backs for no good reason. That's why I did mine myself.

Just saw the front page's quad exhaust setup, any chance Corsa or beefcake will provide us with a set of quad tip and cut out template for a even better look? :D

Roush has a cheap plastic valence that look worse than the premium color match middle section.

is so much better than

Come to think of it, most of the parts on the roush are lacking, the hood vent is filmsy plastic that requires drilling, the hood scope changes shape and warp after a couple heat cycle. And even the power adder requires drilling to fit...

Anyone know if you could fit the stock catback in the trunk all the way up through the cabin if you lay the back seats down?

Trying to figure out the most efficient way of getting to/from the shop. If it wont fit i'll have to get our extra truck and a friend to tag along. Even more incentive to spend the $40 on ramps and do it myself. Figured I'd ask the guys that have done this already

There is no way that stock cat back is going to for in the car man; unless you cut it that is. The DIY is not bad at all, ramp it and do what you have to do. You know that you'll do a great job at installing it anyways.

I'm thinkin the same thing. Might see if some buddies have the ramps already, and get him a 30 rack or somethin in exchange for borrowing them.

You like your DD lights? I want at least the switchbacks. Nice lookin car, thanks for the help John.

Anytime! Yeah, the DD lighting really changes the interior atmosphere of the car. Before I felt like it was a dull hot light, but now it's a clear cool one. I don't regret it one bit.
