I've never hear an audible click with heating or cooling, and my Mustang search started with cooled seats and expanded outwards from there.
Otoh, a "chilled" member of the opposite gender typically yields certain results that are desirable. So...
Wifey says the cool makes her need to pee, so I'm not sure what kind of desirable result that is.

It never worked from the beginning?
No it worked from the beginning. It’s just now I’m noticing this click sound when the moment I turn it on and the moment I turn it off. I got it last July

Mine clicks when i turn it on. My F150 also has a click from what id assume is a relay under the passenger seat.

i still stand by this years later, that the cooled seats suck in this car. the expedition has real nice cooled seat/back, but the stang is garbage. the heat is nice though

It’s better than nothing, but yeah. They should be called ventilated seats. That’s what they are

Doesn't the cooled seat function just take whatever air is inside the cabin and blow it up your ass? If that's how it works, the cooler the cabin temp the less swamp ass?

yup. other designs are much better at this though. i feel the stang just doesn't blow as hard either as for example the expedition does. maybe it's more room under the seat for components or something? or a different design.

I dunno ... my '22 GT cooled seats are pretty awesome and blow very nicely. I rarely even use level 3 unless its super hot outside. I'm generally at level 2 and the seats get very cold. Y'all realize the AC needs to be on for them to actually get cold right? No AC = ventilated seats only.

"Ventilated seats" already exist and don't have a Peltier device for cooling. I know BMW did this for years and other mfgs did as well, it was just a fan that circulated ambient cabin air through the seat.

I will agree the seat cooling is flawed, this was a topic back when I bought my 16 new. All because the TED is recycling "exhaust" air inside the seat which reduces its effectiveness. Pretty positive I even took my car in for the TSB while under warranty but my seat back still isn't nearly as effective as the base. I'm glad to see the "fordseatfix" still exists, I think I'll give that a whirl.

Anybody look into swapping in Expedition TED units to once and for all solve this issue?

Are you sure they still sell these. I sent him an email last year and never got a response.

My old ā€˜16 ecos cooled seats didn’t even work and the heated sucked. In my ā€˜18 GT they were good enough for me but now with my AZ heat they don’t do anything. I recently got window tint and that helped them cool better.

Mine have worked great in both my S550s. Have you ever had at looked at? Do you have leather?

And if you want to experience really shitty cooled seats, try a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
